Why do some people blame God?

Some people blame God for the things they, themselves, have done foolishly. I also had blamed God before I knew Him personally and accepted Christ Jesus in my life as Lord and Savior. And I think, based on my experience, some people blame God because: 1) They don't know God personally; they don't have a relationship with Him. 2) That is the result of their fallen sinful nature which only Jesus can heal and redeem. What can you say? Please share with me about this topic. No rude answers please.

I also blamed God and even leave Him. In my surroundings, I think people blame God for two reasons: 1. God don't give positive feedback to their prayer. Prayer without real faith and correct opinion. When we pray for something we want or we think good, but God don't answer, sometimes, God give you what you don't want or you think bad, but sometimes, no any feedback, it seems you pray to air. For me, I've been praying for one thing in my life, and this thing is common for everyone from about 7 years ago. But I haven't gotten feedback until this June. - Even now, I still don't get what I want. I'm still praying and waiting. Now I realize there is something wrong with my life, but before 2008, I didn't think so. What I thought was I kept praying but God, you didn't answer me. In these situation, we always blame God directly but don't do self-reflection and asked ourselves what's wrong. 2. We meet the calamity in our lives, though we are religious - like Job in Old Testament. What a coincidence! A young couple joined our fellowship two weeks ago. And the wife was always crying when she told us her 8-year-old son getting leukemia. How pity! And cure rate of this illness is 95%, but unfortunately, her son is in 5%. What his husband said made me touched. He said, we know this child is God's gift to them. And this child is His, including his life, of course. But we don't know why it happened? Pls pray for us! I think maybe we will ask ourselves, do not answer it too quickly. What will happened if you are really in Job's trouble? Really. But of course, believing in God is a process and hard subject to learn. It need us effort whole life.

Yeah, thanks for your share. To be honest, I never think this story from this side. Now I think I get more from this story. And I'm so glad that I'm still here. Actually, I even don't know why I come back because what I pray for, God still doesn't give me. But it's amazing, right? No matter will happen, I think I will try my best to follow God.

Hi friend, I have done it. Because I was unable to suffer the trials nad tribulations that were on my way. I believe Him that He is my abba father and I am His child. But most of the time I couldn't feel Him during the sufferings which I undergo. I often thought that if I am His child then why He allows this in my life and started asking questions why. Today I read a word from Isaiah that "shall the thing framed say of Him that framed it, He had no understanding?" It really speaks.. And another word from the bible clearly pictures out everything in Rom 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose"..So after that God knows it is for good and started believing that He is allowing this for my good.. Now its going smoothly.. Cheers . God bless you. Have a nice day....

Hi friend. Yes truly, the verse you have posted above perfectly fits in here. God really works for the good of His children. If bad things happen to us, He uses it to mold our character as I have stated above. In the end, we will see God uses the bad things to create good inside us. "Blessing in disguise" as many are saying. God bless too.

I understand why people blame God in hard times. Lets put it this way: When you have good times and everything is going well, you say Thank God! Because you believe that God gives you all good things. You are not to blame for the good things. God is. So, now there are bad things happening, you are not happy. Know it is your own fault??? God had nothing to do with it anymore??? Did you ever think that everything happens for a reason?

Hi! Thanks for that sharing. Let me add more: God "allows" bad things to happen to mold our character to be like Him. I don't blame God for the good nor for the bad now. Happy mylotting.

Very true, many people have this habit of blaming the Lord for their sinful deeds. This is innate and a part of human nature, we don't accept our mistake ourself unless we are accused by someone. Despite knowing that it is the person himself responsible for most of the mistakes he would never claim that yes, I am a sinful creature! Instead, he would go to the Church/Temple, and put the blame on God that he didn't heed to the prayers, the offerings and let this thing happen. This is all due to the mentality of people which can only be improved if a person believes in himself and in God, with this he would usher with an influential spiritual aura, and even spread this message in the world.

hello levite, Not only they blame but they also hate, and choose not to believe in the LORD anymore. i have no idea why, probably because they dependent so much onhim that they don't do a damn thing about their lives, they don't accept their mistakes and faults, instead they blamed it on god and that is not fair i supposed. i remember this user from friendster, which until this day he keeps on blabbering about the bible being not so convincing, this man was once a dedicated christian and all of a sudden he became an atheist. i pity the man who once had faith.

When good thing comes to them, they thank Him, yet when bad things happen to them and they don't know what to do, they put the blame on Him! Anyway, as I have said on the beginning of this discussion, I have blamed Him before but it was during those times that I had no personal relationship with God or shall I say, I did not know Him yet intimately and deeply. I think it takes a personal encounter with the living God for us, people, to understand more about HIM AND HIS NATURE. Too bad for the once dedicated Christian you have mentioned about to become atheist. He has probably forgotten what God has done for Him in the past. Maybe he had only "head knowledge" but not experience about God, what do you think?

I think they blame God, because they wouldn't like to accept that they made mistakes. They simply didn't realized that their problem is the consequences of their actions. I think there are also other people who indeed have relationship with God, and then when they're faith were being tested they blame Him. Others blame of Him also, because they have a misconception about His true identity. It's very important to know your faith and know what you believe, you need to get into deep. So in the end you've got no one to blame. Have a great day!

Yes, you're right. I also blamed God before but I didn't have a relationship with Him that time. Now that I have, I realize God is love and everything that happens has a purpose. Yes, we really need to deepen our relationship with Him in order for us to see the beauty of Him -- all good comes from Him and that God is really sooo good. God bless.

Most people blame God simply because they dont want to know the caused of the real problems. They are scared to face the reality. Its not good pointing to others our mistakes we made for our self. Lets face reality, our life is how we made it..we all have choices how to run our life. Most accidents is caused by human mistakes..God is out to this problem so dont blame him...but ask for guidance to solve the problems we get ourself into.
