Hello every one, BBP-STudios here. Hey I use ubuntu to to do all of the things that I need to do. To write all my articles, to surf the web, to create 3d scenes and so on. Any way, I suppose I was just wondering who else was, and what they think of it. My personal opinion is that Linux is great and all, but there just needs to be more GUI functionality and more software to use on it that is generally compatible on window, or mac. For example, I can't use Adobe Flash, or Game Maker on Linux, and I would have to dual boot it to use it for anything else. In truth I wouldn't mind it, but I just get tired of every thing except for Gimp and Blender crashing all the time.

Recently I have downloaded the portable version of ubuntu and it works fine within my Windows XP. It include all generally use applications from office suite, browser, graphics, multimedia and system utilities. I am relative new with the linux thing and still working on improving my learning curves. The drive access and its file system still baffles me. I am amazed too on how it deal with my devices as it is readily available and run without me installing and/or configuring it. Is it just so because it is portable? Oh so much for me to do and find out before really appreciating this great ubuntu.

Yeah, it took me some time to figure out how to do every thing. And even still, now, I have more to learn. Thanks for responding, BBP-STudios

My pleasure BBPstudios. I've noticed there is a growing number of Ubuntu users here, that may just do the trick.)

Hey, I haven't used Linux (Ubuntu) but my schools I.T. teacher has installed it on one of the schools computer. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question better than I have done, in a really good way so you can actually benefit from it. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
