You are so right! I don't make it myself coz it takes more to make it than to finish it :) I love ice cream but I only love the 'eating' part :) not making one. there are people who do that ;)

Yeah, it really can talk longer to make it than eat it, but it depends on what you use to make the ice cream. When I use my bullet blender with frozen fruit and soy milk (you can use regular milk) or fruit juice it takes about the same amount of time or less to make it than it does to eat it.

I never made ice cream by myself, I always like to eat ice cream but never felt like making ice cream by myself. I wonder if it would taste any good, I have ate homemade ice cream at the store - not sure if they were really homemade, very tasty though.

I think making ice cream is really a tough job.I have tried it four times but failed each time.It wasn't a bit like good ,delicious ice cream I like to eat from the market.I too think that purchasing it from the shop is better and easier instead of putting a lot of time and money on it and waiting for two days to finally eat it....But one thing is to the heart that if you really can make ice creams like that we get in the shops, that thing is really appreciable and it will definitely give me the satisfaction and happiness if i really could do it.Well,I think I should try, try again until I succeed.....

I really think you can succeed if you keep trying. It's not really hard to make it. Just mix the ingredients together put it in the freezer, etc. And wait for about 1 day. Then you can have your homemade ice cream. Thanks for sharing~~ Enjoy your ice cream~~

I love to make ice cream myself. That way I can control exactly what goes in it. I like only fresh, natural ingredients and so many times when I read the label on different ice creams I don't even know that the ingredients are. I love to make ice cream with fresh fruits as well as one with lots of cocoa! I don't understand what would make your homemade ice cream oily, I only use milk or cream, sugar, eggs and flavoring or fruit in mine. Nothing oily.

Dear chelsea, I love to eat ice cream that I bought from Nestle, Wall, Haagen Daz, Baskin Robbins and some Japanese ice cream- especially the green tea ice cream, yummy Wow, you know how to do 'home make ice-cream', great job! I never make any professional ice-cream, but I did those simple one...when I am much younger, my house do sell drinks and food like a canteen. We have this thin small longish plastic specially for making ice-cream. It is very simple, we just need to make rose syrup, orange cordial with more sugar, fill it in the longish plastic and tied a knot on one end. Put it in the freezer. After a few hours later, 'Volla' the ice-cream is ready to be eaten. Just need to bite open on the other end and suck the sweetness or bite the ice- cream as you wish BUT nowadays, what I do with my son on a hot sunny day will be just put in a few packets of 'soya bean packet drinks, Milo packets drinks' bought from the supermarket and put it in the freezer. A few hours later, the so-called ice-cream is ready, we normally cut open the packet, pour it into our bowl, if you like, you can add in anything you like, for instance, add syrup / honey to sweeten it, add almond nuts etc. Happy myLotting and enjoy eating ice-cream...

Hi, I recall the name, it is called sorbet ... my son and I love to eat the Japanese 'water-melon' sorbet too! The way we make the ice-cream young time is more like sorbet compares to the creamy ice-cream sold in the store Thanks and all the ebst, do keep in touch!

I like to make ice cream using frozen fruit and soy milk or juice (this is more sorbet, I guess) using my bullet blender. It is really fast and easy to do and way better than store bought ice cream because I can have it really full of fruit and mix the flavors up how I want. I still buy ice cream, but I think both ways are good.

It does take awhile. I tried making it twice. The first time I tried making it, it froze my hand because I handled it too much. The second time I make it, I try to not touch it so much and it came out like a block of ice. Now I just buy my own ice cream at the store for a few dollars ~.~

I usually never make my own ice cream. If I make my own ice cream it would probably not taste to well because I don't know what I am doing. I love Cold Stones ice cream and usually just get ice cream from them.
