Our family has the habit of having curd in our lunch and sometimes for dinner too. It is like that we feel complete only after we eat curd, or even buttermilk. Some people prefer having curd with salt while some love having it with sugar. I like both but usually have it with salt. People who are health conscious have it as butter milk which can be also had with salt or sugar. It is very good to have curd daily and an important food during peak summer. Do you like to have curd or butter milk? What do you have it with sugar or salt.

Like you said - lunch without curd is incomplete in our family. I have survived 1-2 years with only curd rice as my lunch - but i'm not complaining - i liked it :) We in our family make lassi (creamy buttermilk)at home and wne i'm in the "cooking mood" i add flavors like rose, pineapple, etc., in the lassi. I have read that curd can cure cancer and also helps in preventing many grave diseases. Good for you and your family that you have curd everyday :)

I have to ask, i do not know what curd is, so could you explain to me what it is. If it is like oatmeal, or maybe grits, i like that type of thing for breakfast. and i add a little milk, sugar, and fruit. with mine.

Curd is an excellent disgesting agent which relieves us from heartburn and acidity when the food does not get properly digested. I cannot think of a life without curd. I love curd in any form. But my husband does not have curd or even buttermilk. He has the opinion that he is allergic to curd and will catch cold if he takes it. There are many people in our family you just do not have curd. But i am very happy to say that my 15 months old grand daughter just loves curds and also rice with curds.

It is not must for me to have curd in my daily food. But, I would like to have it once in a while. I have heard that curd helps to reduce the heat of the body. But,I don't know how true it is scientifically. I live in a hot place. So, people include a lot of curd in their food to reduce the temprature of their body. I am not very fond of curd. I like to have butter milk when I am tired. It works like a booster. I like to have flavored curd - yogurt for breakfast. My hsuband likes yogurt a lot too. I mostly like strawberry yougurt. I also have curd rice soemtimes.
