WHY SUPERMAN wearing UNDERPANTS OUTSIDE ?

Maybe that is the style on the planet where he was born. I guess when he was changing in the phone booth he was in such a hurry and put them on outside his uniform and never noticed.

That is a very good question. When superman movies were popular, many people wore suits to the gym and for exercise made out of that same stretchy material, and they too wore underpants on the outside. The material was so close fitting to the skin, underpants on the inside might have looked odd or bulky, so they wore them on the outside. Just my ideas :) Karen

I guess he needs tight pants so they don't come off when he's flying at highspeed to outer space. And maybe he likes looking at his underpants

Well i think because he is always on a rush and somebody needs his help so because he is in a rush, he forgot to wear his underpants first.

Hi advokatku.it's fun topic.Let me guest,maybe because Superman forget to wear it inside before he wear his clothes,So he must wear outside.You know that it difficult to open his clothes again.it too close/fitting.he..he..he..Am I right?

I have alway's figured they put those tight under pant's on him so they wouldn't fall off when he was flying, he has the other tight's on underneath. I guess it's there to keep the tight's on.

Hi advokatku, Hope this time your kids didn't put up this question right?... I think its a different design which the designer tried something innovative. He must have thought something should reach kids and people... But I think its not awful.. Its really a good character design in a movie.. Cheers friend... have a nice day...
