Are you on the hunt for trolls or do they just appear?

I had an experience on the 17th where a troll appeared right to my left and in front of me this vulgar individual didn't just try to start my day off on a bad note, he came back later in the day to reinforce his dastardly deed but it backfired when he refused to make a formal complaint and reveal his true identity. Do you find it amusing when trolls just appear out of no where, totally unexpected you are minding your own business and then there in front of you is a troll or the evidence of a troll having been there before you. Trolls tend to leave evidence behind as they think making a mess is funny and part of their game, trolls are not happy if they are not making another person's life miserable. Have you seen a troll lately?

Yep I had one the other day! I contacted a friend here for advise on what to do. It is very upsetting the things these people put out there . I am not sure on all the traits of a troll ,though I am sure this opinionated troll stops in to bad mouth then does not appear back for months looking at the profile. But seems to stir thing up every time they do come on line.

Sometimes they get the upper hand. Here recently, though, I've managed in a mylot discussion to get the upper hand on one. She tried, tried, and tried so hard to paint me as a bad guy--and I did have a few tactless slips, but upon admitting my mistakes and apologizing, and then continuing the debate, albeit more carefully, using combinations of science/scientific method/logic, personal experience, and ancient wisdoms, in the end, she's begun to run out of fuel for her arguments--based solely on political correctness/agenda and mainstream propaganda--I have finally, shown her up--not by any "superiour" aspect of myself or my arguments, but by the fact that I have continued to supply evidence, expert and professional testimony, news releases/articles/etc., and she's got now is name-calling. I truly Love it. Maybe that's wrong--certainly pride/hubris is a sin, but it feels good to argue a point using logic and traditional morality and having the person against you sink to the level of only being able to namecall and sling accusations--it means perhaps, just perhaps, their argument is based on almost nothing at all and they know it(and are fearful of it)to be true.

I have been having a lot of problems with my thinking lately. I'm stuck in a world of opposites, and I don't know if this is some sign of intellectual or spiritual growth or decay of the brain...or both or neither. Examples: 1)Being single, human, and relatively young, whether I like it or not, sexuality rules a lot of my thoughts and many of my actions. (I think this is true for everyone, but I digress...) One moment I have an image or thought of heterosexual nature fly through my head, the next a homosexual image or thought--followed by a refutation typically. And then there is the fact that my lifestyle is predominantly asexual with a conscious effort, despite recent transgressions, to simply be single and focus on other things until I meet the right lady and have an opportune time to raise a family... 2)I can consider the maxim, "he who is ignorant of the past is doomed to relive it," and soon after the suspicion that awareness, particularly too much focus on the past keeps a person stuck in the past--or in an awkward present focused too much on the past to say the least. 3) I can conclude we are all imperfect, and then conclude we are all perfect. 4)I can "KNOW" one minute there is a God, and then conclude that there isn't. 5)I see evidence of both free will and determinism. 6)I can fight and argue for freedom of the individual one moment and then declare steadfastly that we must observe dictates that promote everyone and everything--without being able to reconcile the two. It's like being stuck in an LSD trip after reading into too much Jung or something...I can't quite get past this "duality" that is completely effecting (affecting?) my entire thought process, and inhibiting me from feeling any real satisfaction that I am somehow on a right or wrong path, and that is what is bothering me the most about it. How can I save myself, let alone anyone else from this condition with no cure in sight? Thoughts?

So you think and you think and those facts are hard to refute... Time and events will correlate when put in the proper order and then there is only one truth... The rest is all a belief system that if not built upon a solid foundation will surely crumble... I'm glad you were able to engage in light of a few mistakes as we are all trained to fail... Not that we did anything wrong but we are expected to be sinners the whole world over... Maybe that is a false reality that needs to be examined?

Lots of thoughts, gee... you know me... I'm a lot like you... But first and foremost start to define those thoughts, like really what is GOD? Gender and all of that in image and then take refuge in what you conclude. I'm certain that you believe in an everlasting life and that a collective consciousness of good exists... Therefore the evil will be cast out... If you are good and very observant you will be rewarded, I'm sure of this, it has taken me much time to find my rewards and for the most part they are still pending but I feel I am getting closer to my home...

I am fortunate not to have seen trolls lately. I think the atmosphere that surrounds them must really stink. You may have to really be on your guard to avoid them.

I just spent 2 weeks in Dorset - decidedly Troll free. They probably get fed up with South East Trolls though - and idiots like my daughter, who won't believe "free range eggs from our farm" means just that. Here's a true story to cheer up your day. We were near to a real "Old McDonald" farm, where they sold a variety of home raised products from a shed in the back yard - including their own eggs. I asked for a dozen. My daughter (eyes narrowed suspiciously)said, "Where are they from?" The farmer gave her a puzzled smile. "Er - hens?" he suggested - before explaining that yes, they were from the ones pecking in his garden; why would they be from anywhere else?! You know what? No cynicism, no "eyes to heaven", no declaration of injured pride or unwarranted insults, even though he'd be quite within his rights to express all three!

Well the free range eggs could have been forced and your daughter sounds like a child learning and testing her waters, the farmer quite intelligent didn't provide room for a false answer that the eggs were actually impostors brought in from the egg farm factory and sold in disguise... heheheeeheee

The "child" in question has just celebrated her 21st birthday! Trouble was, she's used to our own so-called "local farm", which is hyper-expensive and not averse to certain con tricks, like purchasing knock-down "best before" date lettuces at ASDA (circa 10p each) and then reselling them as their own - at a "bargain price" 75p. (Tip to "Fanny": if you ARE going to resort to these tactics, at least have the intelligence to remove the ASDA stickers first!)

Well newbie, hello, Define a troll use the book written by the Brothers Grim, what is a troll? Little creatures that demand a toll as you try to cross a bridge, preventing your passage in freedom, creatures that steal from you and your government. Little creatures that wish to create stress and harm to your psyche... Did any little creatures try to invade this social networking site? Don't they appear at all social networks in cyberspace and in real life... If you find one now you have an interest to share your experience with that is if you agree to this as an interest you are interested in... Peace and Blessings, Sincerely, Gary

I am definitely not on the hunt for any trolls and I sure hope they are not on the huint for me either. I do not like or have the time for them anyway. I just hope they are wise to stay out of my view.

I never let trolls bother me but lately my star went up so probably that's why I used to be 10 few years ago then it turned 9 who knew what or who and lately it went back to 10 so I guess ignoring them is the right thing to do even if I see one I'm not troubled with it I have enough stress struggling every day not going to let this one add to it

Yeah' but if you share when you can you can make more people aware of the dangers that lurk below the surface... I'm not asking people to be stressed and I certainly have gone through my share of stress as a result of the trolls. Here we can pool our resources working together.

I've seen a few trolls but not here in mylot. My daughter as a few on her softball team that she's having problems with. She did take my advice and just ignored them yesterday and they left her alone. She keeps doing that and soon they will stop bullying her.

They are giving her a break while they plan on their next attack... That is how trolls work... So how do we expose and foil their next attack? Hmmm? When they don't have a place to hide then they can't work in secret and in turn the trolls can't cause harm. The world keeps getting smaller and you have to remain vigilant to keep those trolls on their toes... It is also good to give trolls credit when they do something very good this turns them from trolls to little appreciative humans who strive to do more good than bad... Words of encouragement for good works is also important... Ya, know that though don't ya? I guess what I'm saying is that there are some bad trolls that are nothing but scum, while there are some trolls that are not really trolls at all... We have to be very vigilant to keep an eye on everyone to spot the bad ones...

They just appear, but usually I have to hunt them down. Its even worse since Trolls can be druids now. Fact. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/_images/features/raceclassmatrix_en_US.jpg Come on, you know its funny... Anyways, its too bad trolls are still on the lot here and there, but this is the internet: spawning ground for trolls (aka useless people with nothing better to do). My star has been through lots of crap thanks to trolls. I've had what more than a dozen different low rating changes. 8-6-5-4-5-6-5-4-5-6-7-8-6-5------6-----------------------current rating 7 What do you think, I use to call it the star rollercoaster (or maybe it should be called a lollercoaster given my efforts never matched the star rating). But thats all in the past.

Obviously I'm not afraid of seeing trolls or finding them, and most often times it is them that find me... I like coming to visit my friends and gnomes that keep an eye out for the trolls that are trying to drive down our ability to live or communicate together.
