Does your husband cook?

My husband does not know anything about cooking. He just knows to prepare only coffee and tea and that too with my nonstop instructions. I always wanted him to learn some basic cooking but all my attempts were futile. My siblings husbands all know to cook well and can manage the situation in the absence of their wife. My husband on the other hand orders for food. How about your husband ? Have you trained him or he tries his hand himself? Do you love food cooked by him?

Ruby!! That sounds like a wonderful husband. Have you guys been married long? I have been married for about 9 years(my second marriage) and he is a wonderful man that helps me in any way that he can, and then some. I think relationships are a building thing. I wish you all many years.

Good for you guys. My wife and I do the same thing. Everyone says the wife has to cook, but she burns water, for any relationship to last you gotta divide up the work based on what you're good at. As long as it's getting done what does it matter?

Hi, yogambal, you must be a good cook hence your hubs is enjoying your cooking all the time and lazy to cook himself. LOL. For me, my hubs love to cook. He will cook for us once in a while. I never teach him how to cook. Infact, he learn his recipe from his mother, which is my mother in law. My mother in law is very good in cooking. My hubs will always ask his mother about the cooking recipe and cooking tips. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful hubby. Enclosed here is the image of what my hubs cook. This is a noddles with my favorite seafood, prawns.

Yes my husband cooks. He doesnt know how to make a tea or coffee though hi hi. He is very good at making chilli chicken, and pasta in diffrent sauces. He makes excellent pizzas that now I like them more than what we get here in pizza hut or dominos. He is now trying to learn thai cooking. He is very fond of food and like innovative stuff. It all started when his mother fell ill and got admitted in hospital for more than a month. He started with simple dishes and since now Im here he tries the more ethnic ones. I am thankful that he can manage to handle kitchen during emergency and that I love it most when he makes breakfast for me.

My husband is like yours in the cooking department, he can't do anything. I barely trust him to boil a pot of water! I really wish he knew how to cook because it woud be nice to share that chore. I haven't thought of teaching him myself as I am afraid I would lose my patience with him. He does do the dishes though so I cannot complain. I hate washing dishes so it works out that I cook and he cleans up.

Hi, emma I too lose my patience many a times but as you say he does the dishes, and other small works in the kitchen so I do not force him much regarding cooking. Thanks for your response, good day to you.

He cooks when his friends comes for a get together. So far he can cook because my kids eats what he cooks. However, he likes to experiment and the experimentation were sometimes extreme that you can't eat the food because its too spicy or too sour.

Mine just lies and says that he can't cook. But if i'm sick or don't feel like cooking I noticed that he's quite good at finding his way around the kitchen and makes some pretty good stuff. He can't make rice though. :)

Man is suppose to be a better cook if you see all the international known chef and cook are mostly man.. and even in any event for a hotel vacancies, we have more man applying for that position than a woman. I don't have a husband.. however in my household, both my dad and brother cooks very well (if they are in the mood and wanted to cook).. my dad can even cook up a feast of 10 dishes during some festive seasons.. I think cooking is an interest, and also a young interest that is cultured since young. and maybe coz my dad cooks, my brother and others like us follows too..

Hi! My husband is a very good cook. Yes he cooks food for me and for my son if i feel tired of cooking. Sometimes we fight in the kitchen..i cook my own food and he cook his..and then we compare which food taste better. My son on the other hand just eat what he can get his hands to. But we sometimes feels lazy cooking at home, so we eat outside.

My boyfriend could probably fend for himself if he had to, but would probably go out or order pizza before cooking something other than microwave meals or frozen pizza for himself. I taught him how to make spaghetti shortly after he moved in with me, so he can make that. I intend to teach him more, but he had a mishap involving his finger and a car seat shortly after I taught him the spaghetti and we decided it would be cleaner to wait until it healed before he dealt with food.

My husband can cook very good, I used to tease him and say he's probably better at it than I am, but through the years I've learned to cook pretty good if I must say so myself. I do enjoy it when he cooks, it gives me a break, he especially likes to grill outside and whenever he wants to do that I let him..lol. He said before he was married he had to do all the cooking himself or he'd starve, in fact, while we were still dating he cooked for me all the time, and he did pretty good, once in awhile he still cooks.

Cooking is very interesting job for women than men. My hubby is not a good cook, he loses his patience very easily and seeing his predicament I never allow him to cook unless emergency. But he helps me while serving and winding up the leftovers. otherwise he is very understanding and co-operative.

I was a husband and i can cook, and it is not something extraordinary. According to me, a husband must also be able to do their tasks to manage his wife's house, so that he can also feel the responsibility of a wife. Sometimes a husband has the task of opinion that a wife is very mild, compared with the duties of a husband who is very heavy for the money. In fact, he does not know tat the task of a wife to manage the home is also a task that is not easy. Especially the task of cooking so that all family members satisfied with the food she has cooked.

I don't have a hubby, but my dad was a really good cook (equal to my mom!) - he made excellent Spanish Rice! We're trying to train my brother haha, I don't think it's working as he has some fear of the stove... Btw (and off topic, sorry), but is that a Volks Yo-SD in your icon?
