I promote it different ways. Adding it as my siggie in forums, joining social networking sites, facebook has some good blog promoting applications too, traffic exchange sites, using the follow me button on blogger and tons of other ways. Its been working for me.

I have started a number of blogs and always found promotion the biggest problem. I have found that the more effort you put into making your blog posts interesting, the more popular the blog will become. It won't happen over night though. It will probably take months of hard work before the blog starts to even get slightly popular.

One of the easiest ways to promote your new blog is through networking sites such as digg, stumbledupon, and del.ic.ious. Also, you can set up a free account at linkreferral.com and gain traffic to your blog that way. Also, find other blogs that are similar to yours and participate in those blogs, i.e. comments, etc. When you do leave a comment, make sure to put the link to your blog in the signature.
