Do you WISH to UNDO things?

One fundamental reality in life is that we learn by trial and error. And of course by trial and error, we are likely to do things not right, versus doing it right. And since there is no perfect formula in living a happy and decent life, the margin of error is most high. Not to mention we had to stand several times after every fall. We all have our share of misfortunes ans mistakes. I heard someone cry in desperation, "If only I could turn back the hands of time.." If given the chance to undo thing/s, what would it/they be and why? I would like your honest responses. =)

honestly, as much as i can... i try to live life with no regrets whatsoever. i try not to think of the "if only's" and the things i should have done but didn't as well as those that i did but shouldn't have. at times we may wish to have the undo function, restart, refresh, delete, backspace... but life does not function like a computer... as you say, we learn by trial and error. the important thing is... we learned. there are things that happened in my life that are both qood and bad... that if i wish for the bad things to never have happened... i'm also taking out the good things that resulted from it. i wouldn't want it like that. so i get to take everything in a stride and hope for the best outcome. life doesn't always give us the things and outcomes that we wanted... we'll just have to make the best out of it. when my five-year relationship with a boyfriend ended, it crossed my mind to wish i didn't waste my time that long for a relationship that wouldn't last. but i also realized that in those years... i grew as a person, stronger because of and in spite of... so i don't want any room for regrets. it's just that... it didn't work out for us. and i'm not bitter about it. there were other relationships that started and ended after the first one. each one being more serious than the last. each guy i loved more than his predessesor. each love story is better than the previous one. i had my share of laughters and joys, i shed tears, i felt a lot of emotions and experienced a lot of things. i wouldn't wish to undo any of those because honestly... i wouldn't know where to begin. hehehe

And of course, I always would have to continue reading your thoughts. This is very well-said. I would like to think the same way. Yes, you're right. If I would wish to undo things which didn't turn out right the way I wanted them, it is as if I also wish to undo things that happened favorably as a result of them. It's like a domino effect; you take out one and something would follow. This is brilliant. But it makes me think though, is my life a little better now had I took the road not taken? =)

yes, the series of events in our life is like a domino effect. and that for every action there is an equal reaction. for any change at some point, the future is re-written. when you wrote: But it makes me think though, is my life a little better now had I took the road not taken? it's only natural to wonder... and i always get the same reply... hehe... no one knows. perhaps. maybe. but we'll never know now for we made another choice. and it's all about making choices and being responsible for the choices you made and the actions you have taken. myles

Hey, Yea I wish that I could undo some things that I regret I had done in the past. Mainly it was to do with money, I have lost quite a bit of money online due to all those scams that are present. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
