Hi. I have recently became interested in Pepsi Myths and have begun scouring the internet in search of them. I've seen some pretty good ones, like taking an aspirin with Pepsi gives you an aphrodisiac effect, or warm Pepsi can clean the battery acid buildup on your car battery. I would love to hear other myths you may have heard, perhaps one I haven't heard of yet. To keep this discussion as open-minded as possible, lets say "foodstuffs" myths. Lets see what you've got. :)

Have you heard of the diet coke and the mentos? If you mix diet coke and mentos it blows up. I tried it and it's actually true. I put some mentos into the diet coke and shoot out like 20 feet. It was a mess..

Indeed I have! Did it as a middle school science experiment and I've also seen videos of it on YouTube. Definitely one of those experiments that is better done outdoors, haha.

LOL. I regret doing that in my bedroom with my friends. Worst thing that could ever had happen. Bad part was that, one of my friends knew what was going to happen, he just kept quiet. lol.

I've heard that police used to carry gallon jugs of pepsi & coke in their trunk to wash the blood stains off of highway accidents. Finger nails & teeth will completely desolved in pepsi & coke, within 4 days period. I did know about the washing off the vehicle battery contacts with soda. To carry concentrated Coke syrup, the commercial truck must use the hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years.

I always wondered why I felt so Groovy after taking aspirin with Pepsi... we might want to keep that myth under wraps, or else we might see a trend in the cases on tru tv...

I used to work with some dr's and they swore by full sugar pepsi or coke for upset stomachs, but it needs to be flat, they say that kids who have a sickness bug well adults too if they cant keep anything down to try this as not only will it settle their stomach but it will rehydrate them and all get their sugar levels up, I even used to give my own kids it aswell and it really does work, plus it tastes alot nice than those sachets or rehydrate medicine that you can buy kids dont like them that much lol

if u take a raw egg {in the shell} and place it in a container of pepsi for 3 days , the egg shell will soften into a rubbery cover.the ingredients in the pepsi will dissolve the primary shell ingredients which cause the egg to be rigid. a similar thing will happen to a piece of bone placed in pepsi for 7 days. actually the motto of this is to swallow your pepsi as soon as possible.keeping it in your mouth for several days without swallowing can damage your teeth
