Do you still remember the first album you bought on the store?

The first album I bought was from The moffatts, Chapter 1 : New beginning. I still remember how often visit the store, to check it out if they already have the stock. And how happy I am when at last I've bought a copy. When I got home I played it on whole day and night. How about you, can you still recall the first album you bought and it makes you feel?

The first one i ever bought for myself with my own money was Alanis Morissettes "Jagged Little Pill" album. I I was SO in love with the song "Ironic" as it was a number one on the radio at the time. I worked all summer long babysitting and was able to buy myself my first (and my families first) CD Player stereo, and i purchased that album as well. I think i listened to it almost non-stop for months.
And thus my fandom for alanis began....i still listen to jagged little pill on occasion...along with all of her other lbums which i have added to my collection over the years.

OMG my bestie and I were ADDICTED to that album - I remember that year when Alanis came out - it was SO empowering - wow, that brings up lots of good memories. Thanks!

The first album I bought is, I shamelessly admit, Aqua's first album from Wal-Mart. Till this day their album still gets me because every time I play it, a get a rush of memories from all the other times I jammed to the CD. It's nothing but good times.

Aqua is such a unique group. I do love their first famous song "barbie girl" I like their music video, those very colorful clothes, make up and everything on it. Yeah, we often have this kind good feelings every time we look back.

The first album that I bought was Step by Step from the New Kids on the Block and the second one was the first album from Ace of base.
When I bought the NKOTB I was so proud to buy it with my own money. I still got the album ebven if I didnt listen to it for years ....

The first album I bought was a Twins album. I forgot the name of it but it was one of their earlier ones. It made me feel good being able to own my own music. There's the internet now of course

i bought my first copy when i was in my junior high school.
it is JayChow'album...
I listen to one of the songs again and again and again,,,trying to imitate it~

Ok, I'm only 29, but I do remember the first 2 albums I bought actually. Madonna You Can Dance - OMG was I excited about that one - I was the coolest among all my friends, lol, and THE MONKEES DOUBLE ALBUM - The Monkees were on when I was a kid in reruns, of course, and I was in LOVE with Davy Jones. I played those records day and night like my name was Marcia Brady, lol. I also had a 45 of the Bangles, Walk Like an Egyptian that we used to take to my grandparents house, and my grandpa would play it for us and try his best to do the dance! LMAO - good memories, good feelings - thanks for this post! I needed that tonight!!

Ah, ha those were really great artists. I'd often heard that played with my older sister. Walk Like and Egyptian, I also love that song. It's quite funny when my mom and sister tried to imitate and do their own moves and sing with the song. It's really fun when we look back then. Anyways, thank you for sharing with us nikigirl.
