Okay, I'm new, but fom my point of view, my last three days at mylot have been a wonderful, wonderful time. I've met quite a lot of you guys (: Added a few random strangers (which was a bit creepy, but pretty cool as well) and discussed about a great lot of things (:
However, as of lately, I've noticed an increasing amount of people who just join and then spout one-lined conversations or even misread my discussion topic and then just type in careless answers of no use at all :(
So please, now people who don't post meaningful answers and keep the site alive, please do so. Growth is necessary, but let's make it an enjoyable thing.
And people who already do, thank you for commenting (: And for helping to make mylot a wonderful place to chat (:

It is discouraging when people cant be bothered to actually pay attention to your question and comment or discuss accordingly but i find most of those people dont last very long on this site because you really dont earn anything by leaving one line comments that have no meaning, i try to go through responses when i start a discussion (dont start one often but once in awhile) and rate the people who actually make an effort to respond appropriatly with the + and also do that when reading through a conversation and think a response is well though out so i think in the end people that do respond well are rewarded and those who dont seem to fizzle out quickly because they find they arent earning much!

Hello, and welcome to Mylot. You've already discovered what a wonderful place it is, but, as you would expect on a site with over 180,000 members, we have our share of idiots as well. Either ignore or report these people, as getting into dialogue with them is wasting time which can be better spent in discussion.
Most people on here want to enjoy the discussions, learn new things and meet new people, but the odd few just want to make a nuisance of themselves, and unfortunately, they tend to home in on new members, although more established members also get this treatment.

People do this to get cents - they treat it as a money making exercise. Negatively rate them - or report if the same ones do it time and time again.

If usres are just here to make money and can't contribute to the discussions the way they should, then maybe, mylot isn't the site for them. Their contributions if ou want to call it that, could best be served somewhere eles. I don't think they are aware that they won't get rich in here, so avoiding asnwering the questions the way they shoud, won't give them anything. When I first came in, money was the main reason I was here, but now it isn't the main reason. I am here to share my views with others, whether right or wrong, and learn from others and they from me. I have also made a lot of friends as well, and I am thankful for all of them. Good luck to ou and happy mylotting.

I originally came here for the same reason you did too, but now I just view mylot as a great place to have a chat and then maybe ask for advice from its giant spread of members. It's amazing the many types of people we've got here (:
