I think it is ok for girls to have there belly rings in. The guys are alittle different when it comes to this. To have your belly bottom peirced it is supposed to be a fashion statement. I think it is more of a girl thing to do. To me it doesn't look right when a guys wears a belly ring. A belly ring is suppose to be pretty for girls to have in. The belly rings come in all different styles shapes and styles. I can't image seeing a guy with a sparkling stud hanging from their belly. No offense to the guys but is definetly more of a girly thing to do.

It's not really culturally accepted where I live, unfortunately. I think a lot of people, including myself (sadly) automatically assume that most men with a belly button ring are... gay or at least metrosexual. And obviously that's not a bad thing, but it's not the "masculine" thing to do where I live (the US).

It would look weird if a guy would have a ring on his belly button. It seems like a girl thing. But its looks cheap on women also. Usually its the animals who have rings on their nose and body. When I see someone with a ring on their belly button, it reminds me of bull with a ring on it nose.

I don't like a guy do that thing. It is really too too ugly. I don't think this is a fashion statement. It makes the guy looks like a joker. If the guy have time to do this things, I think it is better to use the time to study some useful skills. Happy mylot!

Who am I judge. It is up to each individual. If that is what a person wants and it doesn't hurt me then go for it. I personally don't like any kind of body peircing other than the ears. Just remember, it's going to hurt!

I am sorry but i disagree! In my own personal opinion, it is not appropriate for a man nor woman to have their bottom pierce. What reason? Fashion? I dont think so. We can live simple.

I have never seen or heard of this kind of thing before with men. I do not think it would look good at all for a man to have his pierced though. I think it is more for a girl also.

Two decades back piercing by men was considered to be a sign of mental illness. Now, everything it is considered to be normal. I think that there should not be any restriction on this type of stuff. As you are asking about subjective response whether it is ok or not, my answer is yes it is ok. Everyone should be allowed to enjoy his freedom to the fullest as long as it is not causing any problem and not against the law of the land.

I think belly piercing is the fashion for the people in the new generation right now, maybe it doesn't matter if the guy or girls who had belly piercing as long as they can carry himself/ herself and they are confident to it. i look forward to see guys wearing bikini brief while in the modeling ramp and of course with belly piercing. LOL Happy Mylotting.

I don't think it matters. If a guy want to pierce it, then he should. I think we are just really used to seeing girls, so boys look weird to us. I had a guy friend in college that wanted to pierce his belly button. I asked him if he was sure. It seemed a bad idea for guys because they wear their pants a bit higher than girls. Girls can wear low rise. I kept telling him he was going to get it caught in his zipper. Well he decided to pierce it. It actually looked good. (He had great abs.) One day he told me he was in pain. I asked him what was the matter. He sheepishly grinned and said he got the belly button ring stuck in his zipper. BTW, I was the good friend, and didn't say "I told you so". LOL!

Different strokes for different folks is the way I see it. If a man wants to express himself like that, then it shouldn't matter to anybody else (but we all give that second look like "Oh no he didn't go there").

I don't care for them either way, but I have yet to see a guy with one, this is a first for me, they may have them we all don't see it I guess, to each his own I would say, I think it looks really painful so I don't want to see anyone with one.

I just don't see the point in putting a hole in your navel. Or in most parts of your body, for that matter. I don't think that belly buttons are all that attractive to begin with, so why draw attention to them? Plus, the only way anyone's ever going to see it is if you walk around with your belly bare, and I think that's just tacky and skanky (and downright ugly if you're a guy!).

It is definitely a more girl thing to have their belly button pierced then to have a guy do this. I am going to tell a quick and funny story. My brothers best friend during his high school years was a little girlie on the side and always had to be a perfect boy with his hair done and nice clothes, but whatever there are some guys like this out there. So one year we deiced to bring him on a vacation to the Keys and he was a diver and he had his belly button pierced which was just weird i thought for a guy to have this done, so then one night we went down to Key west to walk around and he was hot and took his shirt off and there was this gay guy sitting on the stairs of a store that we walked by and he was trying to do talk to my brothers friend because the guy on the stairs officially thought that he was gay and trying to get with him or something and so that goes to show you that if your not a gay guy don't get your belly buttoned pierced.

I can understand girls doing it not that I would because I don't like piercing all over the body. I just like the ears pierced. When it comes to a guy though I think that is a little weird. It works I think if you are gay but not if you are straight. A guys belly button is not cute and shouldn't be adorned with a piercing.

In a perfect world where there is gender equality guys should be allowed to do it since it is ok for girls and its not as if they're showing off something they aren't suppose to - like girls not being able to prance around with their tops on etc. But the thing is I think belly button piercings are disgusting on girls alone so I don't see how it could be remotely possible for a guy to look good with one on. If you're going to do piercings I say ears only - anything else and you start looking like you belong on a street corner waving everything around for anyone.

I'm sure they're out there somewhere but I have never seen a guy with belly buuton ring. And I agree with you completely. It's a weird thought.
