Have you ever received a 'miracle' gift?

The story has been told to me by a fella I used to work with about a time when he was living with his mom. Finances were bad. She'd already sold things like the family silver to keep afloat and finally the decision was made to sell the house and move into something smaller. No sooner than it was on the market an interested buyer came to the house. He took the tour, asked the questions and gave this fella's mom a bit of money to hold the house for him. As you've probably guessed the buyer never came back for either house or money. When Jim (the fella) first told me this story, it came with the usual 'you're not gonna believe..' tag, but I listened and told him I do believe..then told him my story. It was back in the late 90's when Liz and I were living in Hapeville (south of Atlanta). It was after my breakdown and I'd been doing grunt work that came my way, mainly yard work and landlord work. After a day of 'grunt'ing I went up to the local store to get our usual dinner of Raman Noodles and..The 'and' being whatever I could afford. That night is was canned beans on sale. While walking back to the house a car pulled up beside me and the driver asked how it was going? I told him fine (I tell everyone that) and figured he was going to ask directions or the like. Instead, he pointed to a mess of grocery bags on the passenger side front seat. I looked at the fella pretty surprised but he said 'Just take it..Don't ask..Never ask.'. So I took and he drove away. When I got home and we sorted through it there was over $50 in various meats..all meat! The question is..do you believe in such things and/or have you been gifted by an unexpected angel? ENJOY!

Wow! Both stories are just so cool, I love it. I just got done reading another discussion here of a lady who was given $50.00 from a couple driving by. What fun reading today! I would just love to do something like this but I'm always too broke to do it, lol! But reading these stories just makes me feel so good for everyone, to think there are still some caring people in the world. This is what the news should be about every night, good things, not bad.

$50! whoa!! It is indeed a pity there's not more 'news' like these kinda things. However, we have a venue here to share such things with other mylotters who may share them with their friends and on the ripple goes...Our own 'news' broadcast. Have a good life...ENJOY!

It is so true that what we often read in the news is just bad news that paint a discouraging picture of the world we live in. Hope this discussion will change things a bit and bring encouragement and hope to those who are hurting and in need. Thank you for starting this.

Well I was in the hell in all my life. I had an awful nervous disease and it was getting worse during my teenager's years. Different facts also helped that but my body was very weak. I could not control that. My nerves was very weak and I felt very awful feeling from even small things. Very hard life. When I was 19 I got a very acute form of nervous stomach. For a about half and year I felt pain in my stomach day by day, every second. Notnhing helped me. My nerves got worst I could not breath normally, I felt something like a bomb in me,as though my nerves was tearing my body. Something incredible saved me from this horror.I decided to be baptized in Christianity, because I knew that, if you do not have this ritual you can not go in Paradise. But immediately I realized that none of thease problems did not exist already. A was cured by Jesus Christ. I did not know that Jesus continous to heal after he is not on the Earth, physically. I was permanetly health. It was a miracle. Nowadays I am the happiest person in the world and nobody is not more happy than me.

Well..Congratulations and welcome to the christian community! What I believe is not that the Christ continues to heal our ills. I believe that it was made so 2000+ years ago and it is for us to accept the gift that has already been given. When you accepted the Christ and realized that the problems were no longer there, they weren't, as they hadn't been for 2000 years..ENJOY my friend!

I believe in all of this because I was one of those people ready to give up everything and some family out of the blue came to my door. It was Christmas time and I was working my butt off to make ends meet and be able to buy presents for the kids. This family came out of no where, and dropped over $3,000 on my family for food and gifts. I am a single mom and that came at the right time and I will forever be grateful about it! I just pay it forward...do unto others as you would have done unto you...If there is someone in need and I have it, they get it. Simple as that. I never did find out who these people are but I pray for them often. We did awesome that year, and we are forever thankful for it.

That is so kool!! The right stuff at the right time! We do as we can when we can. Luckily, I take after my mom. If you needed money and she had it, you had. If she had no money she always had the time to help out any way she could. She often babysat for nothing while 'mom' went to work and such. Her belief was that you can't share what you don't have so share it when you do.. Thanx for coming by and leaving that with me...ENJOY!

Yes, I received several miracle gifts already in the past. One example happened very recently. My husband and I did not have enough money to pay for my husband's training allowance and last Sunday a sweet lady in church handed me an envelope. When I opened it, it contained just about the amount we needed to pay for our need. God indeed knows what we need even before we even ask Him and He uses people to be channels of His blessings.

I had two "miracles" happened to me a very long time ago. They were not so much about receiving money but receiving a new life! When I was a teenager, we went to a beach. My brother and I went on a small canoe. Until now I still don't understand why we got on to that canoe since we knew very well that I didn't know how to swim. You can well imagine what happened next... the canoe capsized, I heard my brother saying "hold on to the boat", which I did. For whatever reason which no one can explain, the boat capsized a second time, unfortunately this time with me under the boat. My brother who thought I was holding on to the boat had a fright because he didn't see me around quickly dived in to search for me. I had a total black-out, I was told that I was not struggling at all. But there was this one image that was stuck in my mind ever since; it was a beautiful greenish blue color, and I remembered saying to myself... oh no, you're not going to die so young. "My brother" saved my life! Another "miracle" came years later when I was pregnant, driving from Brussels to visit the same brother who saved me but living in Nuremberg in Germany then. Half way on the highway, I suddenly saw another vehicle next to me, I was on the express lane, we were so near collision. Again, until today, I still don't know how I avoided the accident and how I pull up the car safely and stopped on the emergency lane. A very nice German man stopped and asked what happened. I honestly couldn't tell him anything, he inspected my car and found nothing wrong and he drove off. I never picked up any body on the highway, this time I did picked up a young couple whose wife was pregnant and was asking for a ride to Nuremberg. Was this coincidence or a miracle? I really had a narrow escape... I continue to thank the "angels" who saved me twice!
