The distance from my company to my house is about 20km, but I have to passing the river by ferry so I take 1.5 hr to go to my company. one day I lost 3 hr for moving. The road is not so good, easy to slip on rainy season, many dust in the summer season. I feel tired to work at the company right now.

With my last job i usually have to travel around 1 - 1.5 hour depending on the traffic. I live in a developing country so you can imagine how hard it is to travel by public buses. Everyday was boring day..thinking about the journey between home and work place, cos you always reach your home dog tired. Now i am happy, i don't have a job. Just try to do something online. No worry about commuting to do job.

I actually live really close to where I work. I live about a mile away from my job but with traffic because students are back in town, I sometimes end up taking 5-10 minutes to get there when it shouldn't take more than 2 or three minutes. However, I really can't complain as some people have to drive an hour or more to get to work. I'm glad I don't have to drive for a long time or any long distances because that uses too much gas and I'd hate to spend too much time in my car.

The distance of my office from my house is around 15 km. I came across two-three places in between where I have to face heavy traffic which took much time to reach office. I wish that some how this traffic should be lowered by diversion of routes or by other method. I have no complaints for the distance but have for traffic. The Government should do something to divert the traffic so that the passage can become easier and it makes the roads clean.

Hi nqh2009. If I were in your shoes I will also feel tired going to work considering all that you have to go through--bad roads, a river and the distance of 20 km. I am blessed that I can choose to walk to work or take a very short ride if I am in a hurry. My work place is only 1 km away from my house and it feels very much like a second home to me with all the amenities like a pantry, kitchen, a bed and toilets and baths.

But on second thought, you are blessed too, to even have a job. Many are not as fortunate. A lot of people are unemployed even if they have all the qualifications because of the bad economic situation.

It only take 10 - 20 minutes to drive (depending of the driver's ability to speed up~~~) I usually take around 15 minutes. This is a road that pass through villages, it's not a good idea to drive like crazy. Plus, you don't know what might suddenly cross the road. If it's raining, it might took 15 - 30 minutes. Some part of the road can be slippery.
