Hey mylottters, I was just thinking about this the other night, which one of these state of minds would you prefer to live in. Would it be the past, the present or the future. If you had a choice which would you choose and please tell why. Thanks for sharing.

I choose the present nothing good will come from dwelling on the past and the future is based on the events of the present

I am going to have to quote my good friend Buddha here. Not Zigzagbuddha who is also a good friend. But the big fat founder of Buddhism. "Dwell not in the past, Dream not of the future, Focus your mind on the present moment." If you waste all your energy reliving past failures, or wondering what could have been. Then you will get nothing done today, it is okay to reminisce once in a while. But do not dwell. The future is uncertain, it is good to have goals and dreams and aspirations. But it is not good to live there. Spend the time now, and create your goals and plans. But then focus on your actions today to accomplish them. When you focus in the moment today, you forget your troubles and worries, and experience complete bliss. Experience the moment. It is the only one will you ever have.

Thank you for your wishes, I kind of like my Buddha quotes too, I like to share the wisdom of the ages with all that I meet. Haven't seen you around in a few days, glad you to see you back...or glad my notifications are working better one of the two. Cheers.

Hi citychic.Well I will definitely chose the past because I love my life. And on doing so I will be able to relive past and present again. Also I would love to see my parents young and myself and my bro again back to kid and wearing those shorts. Hehe..I just love my childhood so much that when I am laying on my bed and do not get sleep I just try to remember the old childhood days. And when I wake up the next morning I feel so happy.

That is wonderful Voldrox, you are reminiscing about the past. I enjoyed my childhood too and I thank God for it because it's made me the person that I am today. Although I really don't think I'd want to go back there for all the money in the world. Gosh there were far too many rules in our house. Couldn't do this and we couldn't do that. Sometimes I like to try to think what my life might have been like if I had of taken a different path. In other words, since I was the nice girl. I wonder what my life might have been like if I had of decided to be the outspoken wild child. Unfortunately one of my other sisters played that role and she's no longer here today. I miss her very much. But I can't help but to wonder, humm, what might my life had been like if I had of decided to play that role. I wonder if I would still be here today? Anyways thanks for your comment and it's nice hearing from you! Have a nice day!

Hi citychic, We live the past already.. so it is not needed to live it again. Ofcourse, past has some unforgettable moments and all fun while we are as kids. Also, we have to live the present well to have a better future.. But i get the chance to time travel i am just curious to see what the future would be... But happy to be here in present. Have a great day.

Don't get sad about what you missed up in the past , and don't be too happy of what you got , this is what our prophet did say , i' actually trying to concentrate on my present life even sometimes i get worried about my dreams that i want to reach in the future . i do plan for the future ,but, i live the moment

Swee, I like your prophet's sayings. There is nothing we can do about the past accept to learn from it. As for the future we can try to make it better than our past but then again, tomorrow's not promised, so the only thing that we can really do is to try to enjoy the moment that we have right now. Happy mylot......Enjoy!

I live in present & I feel that present is where I am supposed to be. If I go to the past or future, I will feel like I'm an unwanted guest! However It will be thrilling to go to the past or future just for some time & them come back home!!

I am living for the present everyday, for the moment. If you live in the past you will never get into the future.
