Hi friends, Forgive me for being so blunt but what I would like to know is this, is there anything in the my lot guidelines that you have seen which point blank tell us not to discuss our pay? Please don't respond by telling me about the Algorithmic method of estimating our pay not unless you can go into more details pertaining to it. The favor of your reply is requested.

If you read the guidelines, it seems to suggest it is breaking the rules. But then, loads of posts get put here regarding how much people are paid on here and other sites. So I guess you take a chance, and hope your post gets overlooked ...

Don't Start meaningless discussions or give meaningless responses to try and boost your rating. Discussions like “What’s your age” will be deleted Replace 'what's your age' with 'what did you earn' Don't Post anything that discloses your personal information or others' personal information Earnings are personal. Don't Start discussions promoting a milestone I earnt XYZ is a milestone. Don't Start game and poll type discussions 'How much did you earn' is a poll/survey http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx Make sure you search for existing topics before starting new discussions. It doesn't take mush to realise that ALL the earnings discussions fall under one or more of those violations. Or does it?

I agree about them being vague but then they are guidelines and not rules. I believe it needs a bit of common sense when reading them and applying them. For example it says not to post jokes and recipes etc. No mention of poems - but they are so obviously included in 'etc,' right? Posting about getting paid in the money interests is a milestone and usally a promotion too because in the first response it is usually 'add me and pm the link'.

I don't think it's fair we can't post recipes. I understand that people could just c and p recipes from other sites to get discussion earnings, but there should be some leeway - for example recipes we've made up ourselves, or those related to health conditions or hard-to-obtain ingredients.

I think from what i can tell you are not allowed to say how much you earnt on Mylot. I think you can probably discuss what you have earnt on other sites, im not sure though! You should read the guidelines and check. If youre not sure about it, then dont post it! It could result in your discussion being deleted and any earnings you made being lost, or worse - your account could be deleted for breaking the rules!
