Do you carry your office mood to house

We all have a lot of tensions in our office with lots and lots of work and often the boss scolding on us and the subordinates not doing their work and plenty of work pending and by the time we finish with our office most of the time we will definitely be in a foul mood. But how often do you carry that mood to your house and show your frustration on your children or parents or wife.I know that many people face this problem.. How do you get over it?

Okay, this sounds horrible, but I go to work outside the home to relax! I work for myself and my clients are all very nice people, so I really enjoy my job. I enjoy being at home and doing all the things I do at home too, but the stress level is much higher for me at home. I do try to keep both my out of the house jobs and my in the house jobs separate, to a point. If I had a rough time at home, I try not to take it to work with me, but there are those times when there is no way around it. Luckily, all of my clients are the wonderful people they are and they, at times, encourage me to vent to them. Sounds strange, but it does really help at times. Overall, I feel very fortunate that I am one of the people on the world who can say that one, I enjoy my job(s), and two, I am able to work for myself.

I really say that you are fortunate to have the job you love in this state of present economy people can't find the job they like but are forced to take whatever they get and because of this the mood swings and stress levels in offices have increased enormously. But you are one lucky person to do the the job that you love.

I try my level best to keep professional life & personal life apart. After all we are humans & many at-times many not be able to handle the situations perfectly. so even though I try to switch between the moods, it is not that effective always. Well I hope I learn the art some day!

Ya i think its very difficult to separate them and it really is an art that one should learn but i think whenever we reach home frustrated its better that we sit to ourselves for sometime asking everyone not to disturb otherwise we would show our anger on them and it might lead to further frustrations..

I don't carry my emotion home. In fact, I can't wait to be home. When I am at home, all the tension that I have at work will disappear just like that. I don't care how the situation at home at that moment; messy, noisy, no dinner yet. It's my home and I can handle things there. I don't have kids yet but if I do, I'll probably feel glad to see their face, just like how I feel when I see my mom and siblings' face.
