I have a dog which behaved the same way every time I arrived at home. What I did for a solution is, as I arrived at my front door, I stop for a little while to take breather. Its like taking a a coffee break. Calm my muscles down to get my self ready to see my dog so excited to see me rather than look at it as additional stress. Thats what I did. since I dont have time to train my dog. That way you can last until your dogs calms down. And pretty soon youll get used to it.

No offense to you or your brother but if the dogs are not well behaved it is because they have not been trained. Dogs can be the best companions to play with, love, and even relieve stress but they do need training. You can train the dogs to behave just about anyway you want them to. With a little work you could have them racing to the door to great you when you come home but not jump on you. If you are looking for dog training advice I suggest getting Cesar Millan's book. He knows dogs, he knows them so well I wonder if he may have been raised by dogs. If you are able to watch his TV show 'The Dog Whisper' that will show you how knowledgeable he is.

Well dogs can relieve stress, but it depends how they act, or what kind of person you are. If you can train your dogs not do that when you get home, that could be beneficial. And if you can't, patience is key. Once you start playing with them and not getting angry at them, they can relieve stress and make you feel better.
