I am awaken this morning, at 2 a.m., with my son standing at the side of my bed staring at me! He wasn't sick and didn't need anything, he just woke up and wanted to come say hi-- crazy kid! It's so hard not to react in a negative way towards him.

I bet that gave you a fright Although my daughte ris only 8 months old sometimes she wakes in the night and will not go back to sleep, she suddenly decides that its playtime at 2am in the morning and i can hear her laughing and squeeling in her cot. I always struggle to keep a straight face and be serious even though i am tired because they are just so cute.

I remember that age and it was hard to be strict with them and make them sleep.

It is so hard to be strict with them when they are that young because they are just so cute, even though you are tired it just makes you want to smile right back at them but you cant encourage it or they will be doing it all of the time.

awwwww lol, the little guy just wanted to see his Mommy!!! Maybe he had a weird dream or something and just wanted to be reassured that you were there? Cute kid! I know, sometimes when children do such odd things like that, you can't help but love them and not ne negative or angry about it :)

Kids are funny and such an enjoyment! I'm still laughing about this... even though I wasn't laughing when it happened.

Aww that's cute but I understand that it can feel kind of annoying. My son is still really young he's 6 months but he'll decide to wake up in the middle of the night stand up in his crib and just talking (in gibberish I might add) as loudly as possible. I can't wait until he's back to sleeping all night c

I've found that my son goes in and out sleeping all night. This phase won't last long with your little guy. My son usually wakes me up when he gets up at night & now it's easier because I just take him back to his bed and falls right back to sleep.... but not this morning he decided to stare at me (still not sure why--- it was funny after I woke up a little bit).
