I'm definitely a talker. The first thing I do when I get up is talk, same when I come home. I just walk in the door and already my mouth is moving. When people talk to me I don't seem to always listen and most of the time things go in 1 ear and out the other. I feel kinda bad because I don't know what to say course I really didn't listen..I guess my attention span isn't that big that I just pay attention to one thing. I'm always going in 5 different directions at the same time. Are you a good listener or a fast talker?

I a bit of both.cause I am a very good listener..but there are times I can talk the ears off someone especially if I am nervous, worried or excited or haven't talked in awhile. I can be quiet for very long periods of time especially if I am alone or reading most the time..But I guess I have always been the quiet type so my mom says when I was little..give me a coloring book and crayons you'd never know I was around. People who know me will talk my ears off while I listen and comment here an there..but there are times when I have been to cooped up to quiet for days..that I just let loose and want to talk about this and that and everything..but hubby doesn't like that especially if it is in the middle of his wrestling.

I'm really bad when I'm nervous, I just talk and talk and talk some more. Sometimes I have to tell myself to Shut up.

I'm a good listener, sometimes. I used to be a better listener when I was younger (probably because I never talked that much). I've noticed as I've gotten older though that I have become quite a talker. I still listen but not nearly as much as I used to. I find myself asking a second time what the person was talking about. Maybe it's because I daydream a lot. Either that or conversations are not as interesting as they used to be. I think I could still classify myself as a pretty good listener though.

Ya I feel bad when I do that, but sometimes a good idea pops into my head and I just have to ponder it in the moment otherwise I'll forget it.

I think for me it depends on the people around me, I dont like to talk just to hear myself, but if the other person doesn't seem to wanna say anything i dont mind filling the void with my drabble. lol. if the other person is talking about something that interests me i dont mind just listening. If they are talking about something boring.. i'll just try to casually change the subject, unless of course the conversation seems to really mean alot to them, EXample: they are ranting/upset about something. then its nice for the friend if youjust let them go on and on! lol.

Hi there missybear! It all depends on so many things. For one, as a teacher, I have to be a talker. Though of course, I allow my students hare their thoughts or opinions during lecture. When I am with my friends and there is really nothing much to share or say, I am more of a talker. With strangers or pure acquaintances, I am more of a listener.

Hey, Well I am more of a listener than a talker. I actually hardly talk to anyone, whenever someone calls on the phone, I don't even pick it up when it rings, mainly because I don't know what to say. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hello missybear Im not sure where you are but Im in KY and it is very early here right now. I was surprised to see someone posting a discussion this early. That is fine with me. AM I talker or Listener? I would have to say that I am a little of both. Although I do love to talk. I guess that is why I love mylot so much. It is a way for me to talk. I can talk just about anything. On the other hand I can listen too. I read these discussion, which to me feels like a form of listening and then I will talk back. I do however will listen till someone is finished but I always have to say something back to them. The main thing is Im always nice about what I say. You have a good day.

Sometimes I catch myself interrupting people and start telleing my own story before they even finish theirs. I'm in Las Vegas Nevada and I'm an early bird. I get up at 4am even on my days off.

Yes Im not a late sleeper either. Sometimes I wish I could sleep late. I don't work other than online sites but I just can't sleep late no matter what time I go to bed. I hope you have a good Saturday and a better Sunday. Sending Smiles...

As a therapist I need to be both talker and listener. I need to talk a lot sometimes to really motivate a client to do what it necessary to improve the quality of their life, and sometimes I have to sit and quietly listen without interruption to a client when there are issues he/she needs to resolve. Therapeutic listening needs to be very focused, because this is the process of helping another to release inner conflict and tension. - Derek

Hey missy! I always told you we were alot alike! I am the same way! I get yelled at by my boyfriend and my friends for talking too much! I can't say that I don't listen at all though because I do listen. I have some friends that do the very same thing that I do and talk all the time too! They just don't seem to realize it! But, the get angry with me if I do it and they don't realize that they do the same thing! And I tend to be going in all different directions sometimes too!

I guess I'm a bit of both! I would probably say that I am more of a listener though as I'm quiet as a person. I'm not that keen on fast talkers! At times I can hardly understand them! I probably would speak a lot more if I had the words to speak! There are times when I just don't know what to say. So, I choose the approach of being a very good listener! Andrew

I'm more of a listener. I'm kind of a private person so talking is not something I do much of. I make one heck of a friend for a talker or two that I know..lol

I'm a very good listener and love to give advice. I'm not a good talker. I talk only when I really have something important to say. I don't like talking just to talk. I've been like this all my life. I know people who just talk to hear themselves..

I've to be honest. I think I'm a combination of both..But my friends used to tell me that more you talk the more you put yourself in trouble and the listner is always the safer and how can you learn when you don't listen. Yes 100% i agree with them. But I'd say the most knowlegeable person is who listen and then talk. Isn't it? And then only a talker can control the listener.A friend of mine who is a good listener tend to talk a lot only when he's drunk or high! And when I'm quiet people think me that I'm a good listener, but I'm not I just have too many things going on in my head.Am I not a kind of both?

I am born talker. You can fin me talking any time in the day ( and also at night.. I talk while sleeping). But when people talk to me, I sincerely listen to them because I believe that a good talker should also be a good listener.

I can either be both, but at times, I'm the talker. I finished communications after all. I can relate my thoughts and emotions to my close friends. And when I'm in a crowd full of strangers, I can just find my way to mingle. I am an experienced public speaker, too, hency my being talkative. I can mellow down from being the communicator when it's time to hear out someone's ideas. I know when to speak and when to listen.
