Today is my daughters firs day in Kindergarten. You was so excited and woke up with no problems at all. She loved going to preschool last year and was waiting for this moment from a long time. She would ask every single day when was school starting.

It is so wonderful to hear that you daughter was so excited about her first day of Kindergarten. My daughter is in first grade now, but was the exact same way as your daughter was when it was her first day of Kindergarten. When she gets home from school today she is sure to have tons of things to share with you about her first day of school. She will have made new friends and and possibly done new things. And, she isn't really a little kid anymore. Where she goes to school is Kindergarten half-day or full-day? I ask because in our district Kindergarten is full day and my daughter learned so much more in Kindergarten last year than I remember learning in my first two years of school combined.

Hi Melissau Thats sweet :-) I remember when my daughter was in kindergarten she was also excited she had her clothes laid out her book bag packed with her pencils her tissue box to give to the teacher all laid out the night before she was so excited and it was plain adorable. She looked so pretty the first day I took my video camera and video taped her getting on the bus:-)Now she is almost 17 and this is how she gets ready for school...she's listening to her rap music putting on her makeup and doing her hair in the morning all at the same time. The clothes that used to be laid out neatly on her dresser for school are now laid out on the floor where she stepped out of them from trying on 2 or 3 outfits before she makes a decision on what to wear. LoL But she's still my little girl ,she's a very nice young lady. Easy going and mild mannered. My goodness they grow up fast! Enjooy it now Melissau while it lasts ..........next thing you know their all grown up and you find yourself wondering where all the time went.

Awwwwwww, it's so cute when they first start kindergarten! My grandson was a kindergartener last year, and I remember his first day he was so excited too. We're lucky, he continued his excitement about going to school each and every day that he went. And now that he's a first grader, he's still excited about the whole school experience. Did you cry the first day? I know we did after he got on the bus lol. Hope she continues to enjoy school for the rest of her schooling years!

Our school started today too. My oldest starts first grade and my middle one is starting preschool. The older one was nervous. She loved school but her class from last year got split up into all the different ones this year so she only knows 2 or 3 of her classmates. Plus she has a new teacher and it is a male this time. My middle was very excited for preschool. She has been wanting to go every since her sister went. She wouldn't even eat breakfast this morning because the thought it would get her there faster if she skipped eating. I got her to eat a few bites but that is all. When my oldest started preschool she was mad when we picked her up. She didn't want to leave. She wouldn't talk to us the whole way home. We were so excited to hear about her first day, but she wouldn't talk. It was funny. I can't wait to see how my middle one does.

The excitment in my son's eyes speaks volumes when he has to go to his play school. He finds it interesting because he has friends of his age group. He relates well with them and when he is back home, he always has some interesting stories to share. It is indeed a great joy to watch kids grow and see them learn new things.

that is adorable. Aww I think I'm going to cry when my son starts school; we've never been away from each for more than an hour.
