Hello dear myLotters. With busy schedules each day, we have to find time to relax. With my full time job taking hours and hours each day, by the time I get home it is close to 9 pm. So tired and exhausted ! So, I have to have a way to relax and get rid of the stresses of the day. My favorite way is to listen to smooth classical music. I very much like that, very relaxing. How about you ? Do you have a favorite way of relaxation ?

I think we do all have our way of relaxation and that's on top of our list! Listening to music is indeed very relaxing. Sometimes i take a hot bath too to release all the tensions and not to mention the dirt that clinged to me when i was outside the house. If possible, i would also want to have a massage so that my muscles will be relieved. A pet could take away stress too.

Hello Iriene, well we meet again. The myLot world seems to be small for the both of us. You are very lucky that you have already experienced having a luxurious massage at a spa. I would definitely try that when i find a job that i can earn on. See you around again.

Soothing music really can ease the stress away. I also like to find a quiet place in the house and read a magazine or book. It may only be for about 10 minutes but it does help.

I do this too when I'm at home. I have a playlist in my i.pod that plays soothing, calming music. It's perfect especially after a good bath and when you're just about to go to bed.

I have a collection of CDs of classical music, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Johan Strauss, and more. I enjoy listening to them, very relaxing and enchanting.

Go to a spa, a salon or just relax at yout home watching Dvd's, read books. Things like that. I love Spa. You get a full body massage with an affordable value. This is the best advice I can give you because it really can take away all stress from work.

My favorite way to relax is either reading a good book, or filling the bath tub up with hot water and just soaking in it. It always seems to take the tensions from the day away, and makes me feel better.

Having a hot bath in the bath tub would be relaxing, yes. It would be nice to be reading a book while staying soaked in the hot water tub too. Excellent way to get rid of the stresses.

Hi greenline. RELAXATION - now, when was the last time I heard of that word? . Never actually thought of a nice place for me to relax, not when I'm still a full time employee. I've to complete / prepare my work at home after regular office hours. My idea of a complete relaxation is a week long stay at a nice resort along a good stretch of beach, pampered by servers and masseurs. Since I can't afford it, I might just spend time attending to my carpet grass or talk to my dog.

I love classical music too. But generally I just listen to music as a way of relaxation. For me it's probably the upbeat kind of songs like alternative, they give me positive way to look at life and makes my day a lot more cheerful somehow :) Still, I don't like anything too upbeat, loud or funky. Classical music is great, it still makes me feel so relaxed and happier somehow. Have a nice day relaxing :)

when i really want to loosen up and get away from all the stress... I go and get myself a thai massage... That is very very seldom.. first it costs me, then I have to give time for it... but it's worth it..it's not like everyday I get a massage... Now that i'm sooo busy I haven't got one in months... I am sooo looking ofrward for my next htai massage.

Well, I prefer listening to music, too-whenever I get stressed up and all that. I drink a lot of cold drinks---soda,juice or water---it makes my inner physical being relax, too. The best thing-yet-that I've ever done to relax is this: I went on to our rooftop, laying on my back while looking on the horizon trying to make images out of the stars---really, I even forgot how many hours I've stayed that way. It helped a lot when I was so stressed and exhausted plus the fact that I am broken-hearted :p

That does sound like a great way to relax! My favourite way of relaxing is either to receive a massage from someone (if I can find someone to give one to me!!) or to curl up in bed with a good book to read, as I love to read and find it to be a very relaxing activity.

My favorite way to relax in in a hot tub with a good book. Taking a refreshing bath is one of the few ways that I feel like I can truly relax. I've taken comfort in taking a hot bath for quite a long time. It helps to loosen my tense muscle and the warmth of the water just makes me chill out. Plus, while I am taking a bath, the neighborhood kids can't aggrevate me and my husband is watching our kids so it is also one of the only ways that I can have time that is really my own.

Relaxing in a hot tub ! That would be a nice way for physical as well as mental relaxation, I can imagine. As the children are taken care of too, you would be free of worries ! A wonderful way !

My favorite way to relax is to sit out by my fire in the evening with a tea (or a small glass of whiskey) and a big fat joint. I like the quiet out there, it's peacefull and the whole world seems to disapear on the side lawn by that fire. Just me, a few nieghbors or my adult kids, the quiet, the hypnotic dance of the fire, the sound of crickets, the smell of wood smoke. Thats my little escape.

I like to do yoga. I think that it is the best way to relax. It's good for the mind, body and spirit. It's complete relaxation. I like to do it while listening to meditation music or calm classical music, anything calm works, but lyrics can be distracting, so no words is the best.
