Hi All, I am very excited to celebrate my son's birthday tomorrow. He is going to be three years old. I plan to have a small birthday celebration for him tomorrow. I already ordered a birthday cake and after work today, I intend to look for his birthday gift. He loves many things and that makes me a bit difficult to decide what I need to buy for him. Any ideas to share with me about the gift? Time passes very fast. I remember each and every details of the day he was born three years ago. I am happy to have him and he is such a precious gift from God to me.

Hello bvijayks, Thank you. I opened an account for him when he was just a month and I put aside some money monthly for him. I can't wait to go home and prepare everything. Right after work, I have to go and get his birthday cake. Since yesterday, he keeps singing a birthday song and reminds me to buy him his birthday cake!

Hi dear, Wishing a wonderful day to your son. Hope he will enjoy the day. What about the celebrations. There are lots of gift items available now like, drawing books, story books, colours, toys. I think you know him better so his likes too. Select a useful one for him. You can get any gift for him and I am sure he will be happy with your choice. Happy Birthday to your son.

Happy Birthday to your Son!!! seems like yesterday when we were responding to discussions about our babies... and now both our kids are 3 years old... i am pretty sure he will enjoy that small birthday party... just like what we had for my daughter... nothing fancy... just family and some delicious homecooked party meals... Well, for the gift... do you think your son can handle a small bike... the ones with small wheels at the back to support it... my daughter has been asking for one but i can't buy her a bike because there is just no space in the apartment... but whatever it is you decide to buy for your baby... i am sure he will appreciate and enjoy it very much...

Hello aseretdd, Thank you so much for the wishes! My husband doesn't like to have a grand celebration for birthday and so, I decided to have it as a small family affair. My sister's family and I, plan to have a small celebration for him with birthday cake and some food that he loves so much. Time passes very fast and I can't believe that he is already three. I bought him a bike not long ago and at this time, he doesn't really fond of it. He was busy asking me to buy Transformer for him but the problem is, I bought it twice for him and not long after, he destroyed both of the stuff. He is very talkative and active as usual and whenever I am with him, I feel like I am taking care more than one child at home. Everything is upside down, if you know what I mean! *laughs*

Oh my... there are times when i can't even cope up with my daughter's nonstop chitter chatter... she has a question for almost anything and everything she sees... and the apartment is also full of broken toys... and i plan to give away almost half of them... or else there won't be room for anything else...

Hello aseretdd, I do feel because of how talkative they are, we some kind of missing them whenever they are not around us. Whenever I am working and a bit free, I always remember my son and it makes me want to go home as soon as possible. My mother asked me many times to let my son stays with her for awhile in my hometown (which is more than 200 km from where I am staying) and I always have to let her down. I can't stay without him but I do pity my mother!

hello gr8life, Wow! Happy 3rd birthday to your son. Sure he'll be so happy for he is having a party. As for me, I think it's much better if you will buy him something that he can play and learn at the same time. An educational toy rather than clothes for he can appreciate it more and enjoy.

Hello robert19ph, Thank you so much for the wishes. That's a good idea too and I think I will consider that. My son loves to draw and he loves many things too *smiles* Someone here suggested that I get 'Baby Can Read' collection. I checked it online but not sure I can get it by tomorrow. Hopefully, I will find something useful for him to play and learn.

sounds like your going to have a great day, i find it hard to get presents for kids. when my son gets invited to b'day party i go for a gift card and they can pick something out them selves. if we have a party it's only been family, not had any one from school over, yet any way. we took muffins up to his school this yr, for his class mates i was really proud of my cake i made this yr for his b'day it was a mud cake, and it worked for once. with out any problems. have a great day.

Hello Zhizho, Thank you for your response. I can't think of what to present him. The past two years, he was just a small little boy that knows nothing much. But now, he is very active, chubby and loves to talk. Sometimes he talks and acts like an adult and it amazes me so much. He is the apple of my eyes and yes, I only hope for the best for him. We will have a small gatherings with my eldest sister's family tomorrow.

Hello LetranKnight25, Thank you so much. The last two years, he knew nothing. So, the birthday celebration was just an annual family affair for us. But this year, he can talk 'fluently' that sometimes, I have problem listening to his stories. He loves some cartoon characters like Tom & Jerry, Spongebob, Thomas and etc. ( I learned from him) Maybe I will find something that related to this. Right now, he is busy 'taking care' of his Spongebob since the Spongebob's mother left the 'kid' to him. That's what he told me!

hello there! :) ,since your child is a boy, what can i suggest here is buy him a coloring sets, coloring books and blank papers. at this age, children especially boys tend to express their creativity on the house walls :), so at least if you have this kits, they already have a right channel to express their creativity :)

Hello izardy, *Laughs* I understand you very much! My son loves to draw and he drew on the four walls of my living room not long ago. I have yet to re-paint the walls, afraid that he will do it again. I remember he was talking to himself how beautiful the house was and when I realized something was wrong, I quickly run towards him from the kitchen area. I was late - he drew the four walls with a 'great creativity'! I always buy for him a coloring sets but they won't last long. The longest maybe around 3-4 days! He asked me for Transformer and I did buy twice for him. All were destroyed by him. He loves cute little cartoons character and I think I will go and look for one of these. Thanks for your response!

I wish your son will be happy forever and lived under God's hand. Maybe this message is late, but you should ask your son about what gift. You know... a little child... will fast answer it.

Hello meidongsu, Being a mother myself, I understand how you feel. My son is the apple of my eyes. I love him so much. The past two years, he was still small to understand anything. But now, he has become such a lovely, chubby and talkative little boy. Sometimes, I do feel 'headache' to handle him and he really makes my day upside down but whatever it is, he is still my precious little boy!

I have not bought any gifts for little ones in a very long time as my daughter will be 18 in February. I have no idea what to get your little boy. Time sure does pass very quick and they graduate and grow up in no time as mine will this year. I hope someone here can help you out that knows more about gifts for a child that age now.

Hello stephcjh, Thanks for your response. I am thinking hard to decide what I should buy for him. As you know and I think you were in a few of my discussions about my boy, he is very fantastic, active and chubby little boy. Always make his mother smiling broadly and happy all the way.

HI GR8LIFE, We Mothers always think of the moment our Children were born as soon as their Birthday come around, and we think of it with great joy, because a gift from God is what all children are. You truly sound like a very loving Mom :) My suggestion for a Birthday Gift besides a Toy which I am sure you will give him is to do something VERY special with your little Boy. Maybe a trip to the Zoo if he likes animals or something like that. I just think those special moments with our Parents is something we don't forget..Moments like that are imprinted in our minds forever. He is three and he will remember. Another Gift That I would like to suggest , if you don't already have it for him is the "Your Baby Can Read" collection. It is awesome and I think Gifts of educational value are so important. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR LITTLE BOY AND TO YOU ( because the Day he was born was a happy birthday for you Too :) Blessings to both of you.

Hello a_motherstouch, Thank you so much for your soothing words *smiles* I can't believe that he is going to be three. It is just like yesterday I gave birth to him and I can still feel the pains and the joys of having him for the first time! Since my husband doesn't like a grand celebration for a birthday, we will have a small party. Just like a small family affair. As for a toy, I am still looking what to buy for him. Since I am working tomorrow, I can only have the celebration at night. I am interested to know about this 'Your Baby Can Read' collection. Maybe I should look online for that... Thanks for your suggestion.
