problem of english language

Instead of i am a chinese,i really love english language. And i love to read news of english,listen to english songs,watch western movies. Now,i have been facing some question about some sentences of the meaning. The answer is to be found in the book The answer is found in the book The games to be broadcast on web site The games are broadcast on web site what's the difference of them or just the same meaning?? i am looking for your reply,thanks a lot

I admire you for mastering two languages. "To be" implies future. In your example "The answer is to be found in the book." says you will go to the book and look for the answer. In the example "The answer is in the book." It simply tells you where the answer is. "The games to be broadcase on website" At some future date the games wil be broadcast on website. "The games are broadcase on web site" You can go there now and hear the games broadcast on website. So you see, there is a difference. Good luck with your studies.

I need to thanks for you great help first! Like you said. If use to be,it means not yet done,but it will be done soon,right? the man is killed at home-----someone killed him at home the man is to be killed at home----the man will be killed at home soon Is that correct?

y do all the ppls have to learn english language??? like c is termed as k in cat...y??? its crap...learn portugese...amigooo... its a wonderfull..language...and portugese women are damn hottt!!! its still burning..out here

You're correct StarBright. 'is' mean is happening. It's a verb and it's Present Tense. If you mean 'killed' then you need to use 'was'. Killed is Past Tense for Kill just like was is Past Tense to is. 'is' to be stand for something that will happen.

Hi There, the only difference i found in both sentences are to be broadcast on website means games are yet to be broadcast ed on website i.e. coming up. games are broadcast on website means they are currently running or available on websites.
