Hey everybody! It's been forever since I've been on here, and wow has there been some changes! To Mylot and myself. I finally grew a pair and filed for divorce to follow my heart and be with the man I truly love and who truly loves me. I gave up my nice big house and new minivan for a 2 bedroom apartment and a Nissan that's more gas efficient. The story is long and complicated, but I hit the point where I just couldn't live a lie anymore. I am still a soccermom and a better person now that I have simplified my life and decided to focus on the important things. I am happy and fulfilled but the road to get here was long and painful. Here is the question I'm wondering..have any of you hit the point where you just hated what was going on around you and took that giant step to better yourself emotionally, even if it hurt some people around you?

It is good to see that you are back with us also. I am also glad to see that you moved on with your life to be more happy also. I feel like taking giant steps sometimes too but I am happy for the most part right now. We have got to do what we have to do, to be happy.

It's great that you've gotten your life straightened out. I think everyone goes through stages when they need to just wipe the slate clean and start again. I've had to do it several times in my life and it's always made a great improvement for me. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Hiya soccermom, welcome back! I guess you can say I have. It was back when I was 18. I decided to move in with my then boyfriend/now husband. I felt bad because I knew it hurt my mom (her baby was leaving the nest), but I needed to get out of there so I could start my life and she could get on with hers. So, I wasn't being completely selfish, even if it looked like it at the time. Happy mylotting!

Hi soccermom!! I'm so glad you're back, I was looking through my "friends" the other day and wondered where you had been. I had done exactly what you did but, it wasn't because I was in love with someone else I had just had enough of the crappy marriage and the lazy man I was in and with. Too bad it didn't solve my problems because our divorce was 10 years ago and I was actually just in court this morning because he won't follow court orders.

Hello Soccermon, I believe we haven't met. am LetranKhight25, I was here last year already. regarding your topic, i believe it might hurt some friends and members of the family since they aren't use for you to change but at least for some they understand if that's what you really want and would make you happy
