I went to the store the other day and finally purchased somthing that I wanted and needed for a long time at the electronics department in the store, I was so happy because had to waite for a long time to get it and of course I naturally assumed that there were battery's inside of the package, but to my surprise there wasn't. now I'll have to waite yet agin to go back to the store and get the battery's I need. Has this ever happened to you? have ever purchased an item that requires batters and thought that they were included, only to find out later after going all the way home that there actually not included?

Hi there apples99 Most electical items you buy in the UK don't come with batteries included especially toys for some bizarre reason. Items that require a remote control tend to come with with batteries though, I have no clue why!!

yes, i had that similar experience, too. from then on, i was already wary that most electronic gadgets do not come with the batteries and make sure that i buy batteries so that i can already use the item when i come home. to make sure, i ask the salesgirl if batteries come with it. some promotional offers of gadgets sometimes come with free batteries, though.

Nothing comes with batteries anymore! Actually when something DOES come with batteries I'm really quite impressed. It's really unfortunate because usually the item that needs the batteries is expensive as it is. They should just give you the batteries to go along with it! geesh.

Yes, such condition is very annoying. It happened to me as well when i bought an electronic product before. I think the seller is try to sell the battery separately. I can understand if there's a business value on the battery, but it would be better if the seller included the battery on the price and package so we don't need to surprised when we know if the battery is not included. This is about mindset, not about business anymore. When we find if there's an electronic store who sells a same product and included the battery on the retail price, i think we would be dissapointed with the first store and we will go to the next store when we need to buy something since we know that the new store can serving us better. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

Even though it never happened with battery, It did happened many at-times that there were something or the other missing once we reach home with a new product. then I had to rush back to the shop to have an argument. If the shop is too far from home, then you had it. I think I have became more cautious now a days so that I don't end up in a mess Happy Lotting

A lot of these things that take batteries don't included them. I always look at the package to see if they are included. I have been in your shoes too many times to not have learned to check. I have had it happen at Christmas time. Get a batteries operated toy for the kids and they can't play with it.
