Addiction of Mafia Wars

Hi there friends. I recently joined Mafia Wars in Facebook. After playing the game for a few weeks I have now become addicted to it. I sleep very little and I'm most of the time engrossed in playing Mafia Wars. The game has a lot of features and this really interests me a lot. Even when I run out energy to do more jobs or stamina to fight more brawls i utilise that period of ime in recruting more mafia members by visiting various mafia adding groups. i am really curious to know that whether I am only the sole mafia addict or I have others to accompany me. Please fill in your opinions and personal views.

I too play Mafia Wars and it IS very addictive. Luckily now, I've built up my energy so that I don't need to log in as much as it won't max itself out (and therefore waste potential energy!) and I can play. :D Definitely one of the more addictive games on Facebook, and I'm happy to see that the developers are still making stuff for it, what with the Cuba expansion and the upcoming Moscow one!

Yes indeed the developers are really doing a great job by introducing new features. The latest declare war with your friends option is really cool. now you can go to war with your own friends. Also you can ask your mafia to attack someone. Mafia Wars is awesome friends!

I am also a member of Mafia Wars. When I began playing it I only spent maybe five minutes a day on it, but everytime I go on to Facebook now the first thing I do is check on my mafia. It can become very, very addictive if you are not careful.

Why people are addicted with Zynga's Mafia Wars? When hobbes, Rosseau, Locke and other famous thinkers coined the term "social contract, we never had the chance to rationalize our "state of nature" or our natural ways of dealing with other people. The "state of nature" describes how we use our animal instincts in order to survive and out power other people. As the social order was established to protect life, liberty, and property, a set of rules and penalties also arose that deter us from using our "state of nature" to outclass or kill our opponents. However, underground societies still use the "state of nature" as their main defensive and offensive mechanism to survive in the social order. One of the most popularized of these societies is the mafia. Members of this famous organization or family vary from the grassroots soldiers up to the big boss or the Godfather. Yet, the purpose of being a member is to be well connected in terms of politics and power. Many members come from the marginalized members of the society to which they want to escape. The idea is logical yet unlawful: kill in order to survive. Zynga has captured this idea in their famous game in Facebook and other social sites. Mafia Wars is a game of pure power and gratitude building attitude towards other members of the family. But why are we addicted? The answer is simple: The reason is that killing, robbing, superiority and power monopoly is exercised freely. Hence, we are practicing our "state of nature" virtually and unintentionally. http://kayacamilla.com
