Questions about psychic abilities

Can anyone develop psychic abilities? I've seen many books on how to develop skills. I wasn't sure to believe them or if it's a gift you are born with. If anyone can, are there any sites or books you can recommend?
If someone has the gift to see for others, Can they see for themselves too?

Everyone has Psychic abilities developing yours is the question. First you have to know which one you are...hence..Medium, abilities can feel the presents of a person deceased and they can use that mediums body to contact other people. or the medium can feel the pain of that person. They're different possiblities sight, hearing, feeling. My psychic abilities come in dreams some come in the form of instinct...That gut feeling. Then I see flashes or images of things. For instants before my son came to me to tell me his wife was going to have a child I dreamt of this child. The dream was really funny...I saw myself driving a sports are up and down stairs trying to avoid a hurricane..Trust me I don't live anywhere near an ocean..I live in the back hills of Kentucky...another story, anyway so I'm watching this tidel wave coming at me when I turned and drove into what appeared to be a vacant house to my left was a little girl standing next to an old women knitting...the next thing I remember about the dream the tidal wave had reached the cabin and I jump out of my car and into a helicopter....all in one leap...dreams are amazing and then my son telling me as he jumped into the water mom don't forget about the baby...He then jumps into the water and plucks his daughter out of the water and hands her to me..I then woke up. A week later I asked my son if him and his wife was going to have a baby and he said yeah mom we are trying but how did you know...well I do remeber him telling me once he plucked his daughter out of the water that "valerie well be ok now" so I told him how does the name Valerie sound..He said that's what his wife wanted to call the baby if it was a girl..I told him it was and that the baby would be born in July hence the water sign.(plucked out of the water) but then I couldn't understand the helicopter..until the news of the baby came she was suppose to be born in July. But Ironically my daughter-in-law had pre-mature pains which we found out later was that her sack had detacted from her womb and the baby was coming early...June 14 (Air sign)Gemini...her due date was July 14th. So this is how my Psychic abilities have helped me. There are books on the market that can help you to tune in so to speak ...you can look it up under Paranormal reading. Sometimes I hear things. I live in the house that was owned by my Grandma and Aunt. My Aunt moved into the downstairs after my Grandma had passed away. A few years ago, my husband and I moved into the upstairs. A couple of months ago my 7 year old and I were playing I Spy on the computer. I heard a cuckoo clock chirp coming from the downstairs. It chirped four times and I looked and it was 4:00. When I told my Aunt I heard the cuckoo clock. (My son heard it too). She asked what cuckoo clock. I said Grandma's, you know the one in the living room. She said that clock hasn't worked in about 5 years and it has been packed away in a box in the back closet.
I see my passed relatives in my dreams. Sometimes I can remember a lot, but sometimes all I can remember is that they were there. (Mostly my dad and my grandma). My grandma passed a while ago. My dad passed away a little over a year ago.
I've had some pretty strange dreams. I tell my Aunt and sister and they try to figure out the meaning.

I found it interesting that other people were not experiencing things the way I was and learning that Im much more empathetic then most of my friends and because of this I try to be much more observant about the things that happen around me, in my life and think what purpose (all details) it could have.
