Well if you're wondering how spongebob and his out of this world, moron and predictable to be unpredictable gang got so famous, I was wondering the same thing. I know some of you might think that I'm too old to be watching cartoons. Well, I don't really care. hehe Though I got no time to watch any shows lately since I got so busy earning online, trying to make ends meet if you know what I mean. Luckily for me to have found out about this site where you could earn some extra cash while you're having quite a good time. Anyway, among the characters in spongebob squarepants show, I happen to really fall in love with patrick. haha Yes, the pink little dummy, know-it-all but doesn't really know anything star that spongebob go to for advice (which I wouldn't prefer of doing if he happens to be a real person), caught my heart. He's just so stupid that makes his character really funny. Well that's the point of the whole show in the first place, to be funny. All characters are just perfect. I guess it doesn't matter what age bracket you're in. Everybody wants a good laugh and everybody indeed needs it once in a while.

Spongebob and Patrick are a piece of work, combine that with Squidward and his reactions to their antics... you've just gotta watch! Cartoons should be for just little boys and girls, they should be all for ages because really, even the ones made for preschoolers are fun to watch and participate in! lol! You've got an excuse to be watching cartoons, I haven't, and here I am (and my fiance) watching cartoons whenever we can! Mr. Krabs reminds us of a friend of ours who is very stingy with his money, times when Mr. Krabs says "Hey My name is Eugene Krabs and I like money!" is just hilarious, and the reactions that those who hear him, don't even have! It's like they don't care. Oh and Plankton, sometimes their rivals sometimes their best buds, it keeps ya guessing!

It's always good to keep ourselves updated, but not to the extent that it ruins our day, I totally agree! There is too much greed in this world, here in The USA as well, and it's sad to see the effects it's had on all. We (the usa) in some ways don't know the value of money anymore. Here I am still gabbing away with you and I know you've got to get to work. Getafreelancer (the site I saw on your profile), I've tried before... seems like a very good way to make some money.

Hi somecowgirl, now that was really funny. Yah, you could really relate mr krabs to a lot of people since there really is a lot of greedy ones out there. And to think that you and your fiance watch it together, haha, that just makes me feel a lot normal now. Cause before I'm actually having doubts if I'm getting old backwards. I could even remember my dad often complains about me still watching cartoons. He often tells me that at my age I should take interest on current events more rather than keeping track of the best cartoons around. Well, obviously I don't listen to him. lol

I agree, I mean we do need, of course, to keep ourselves updated with what's going on. But it's mostly bad news so I have no intention on starting my day and ending it with all the troubles. Besides it really is depressing especially in our country with politicians don't know how to do anything but be greedy. =(

Hi ya angryeve Well I think you have answered the question already really. It is really funny. Now what I want to know is why the bloomin' Teletubbies are so darn popular. I am sure they stopped making the show quite a few years ago now but it is still televised and the kids still love it. Same as Barny I guess!!

I don't know many people who do like the teletubbies or Barney especially parents and that's me included!!

Well I guess that only confirms that I'm still normal. lol So I guess adults can't really give any answer with how these guys made it to the ratings. And what is more mind boggling is that, what were the creators of these characters were thinking when they actually made it. Maybe they were stoned or something... haha

Hi humbug, I guess that's the reason why many got so addicted to the show. It's funny you brought the teletubbies on, cause I never really liked the show and really clueless how it became so popular. hahaha. I don't even like barney either, but the kids really love the singing part on the show, I sometimes sing the, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family", but I still don't like barney. hahaha I guess I might be writing something about that. =)

Hi mona, well, to be honest you really are not late. I just happen to be a bit of a retard that by this age, I still keep myself tuned in to cartoons. Don't really know what's wrong with me. hahaha I wouldn't even be surprise if my 4-month-old daughter gets to mature first before me. It's funny though, how your daughter seem to be fond of patrick. Well, at least, your daughter and I have something in common. We might even be best of friends since I'm guessing I'll still be butting in with the "kids world" for another ten years more. hihi

hahaha Is it really that obvious how I keep on writing such long post. Well, I do that to increase my earnings, of course still trying to give quality to it as much as I could. And another reason, is for people to find more things to discuss about what I've posted. Good thing mylot allows retards like me to just say whatever I like. lol And to be honest, I'm really really enjoying my stay here. It's really worth it, I can't thank you enough for recommending this site to me. Somehow it has become my outlet since I barely go out nowadays. But I sure hope that you won't get tired of reading my long posts hehe, cause there's a lot more to come. Well,if you do get tired of it, you could always try to pretend you didn't see my post. hahahaha

I know how Spongebob became so famous! It's because he's awesome. The comedy, even though it's for little kids, will be suitable for adults. It's silly, yes, but it still makes us laugh. Now that I think about it, younger kids probably wouldn't even understand half the jokes they make there. Living underwater spawned more idiotic jokes for them; there will never be a land version of Spongebob Squarepants. So I guess it makes sense that the yellow sponge and his friends would become so popular with the world.

Got a point there, merlin. I'm starting to think that the spongebob show was originally intended for adults. You know, like the simpsons hehe. Come to think of it, the majority of people who watches that show aren't kids at all. Cause lots of my friends do watch the show and totally loves it, considering most of them are at my age. All the characters in the show have great contributions as laughter is concern. The greedy mr. crabs, the lazy squidward, the moron patrick and a lot more. I guess people find it funny cause they could relate with it somehow since all characters created showcases a specific negative habbit of real people. lol

Hah. Well, good question, because I've been wondering the same as well. How the heck did a yellow sponge wearing pants that lives under the sea steal the hearts of many? I don't know, really. I'm not much of a fan of new cartoons. I like the old stuff. I enjoy my slice of taz, bart simpson, elmo (not a cartoon but I thought I'd throw that in there), loony toons, etc. We all need a good laugh so I guess to each his own.

LOL anything but barney. Did you know that sesame street just turned 40?!? Well, they sure as hell don't have the wrinkles to show it LOL. Elmo is still as cute as ever. I actually want an elmo stuffed toy for Christmas haha.

I love Patrick too he's not dum. I think about him like a little kid, he's innocent and funny. I else love his voice, and the way he talks so slowly and calm.

Hi starsailover, sorry for the late reply. I wasn't able to visit mylot for a while. =( Anyway, whatever reason you have for loving patrick, I would still agree even if its contradicting to my real reasons, hehe. Simply because he's really really funny and that his character is just so lovable except on episodes where he's trying to cheat on spongebob, partly out of dumbness really.lol Lovable or not I still love patrick.. I think I'm partly adopting his stupidity.. I'm not even sure if I'm making any sense anymore..LOL

I personally think that Spongebob has always been a really entertaining show that I've always thought has been pretty funny and pretty random as well. I would definitely say that Spongebob is one of the better cartoons out there.

I wouldn't be posting this one about the show if I disagree with you. hehe I guess a lot of people really appreciate the whole concept of it. And couldn't help but find themselves addicted to the show. I got tons of favorite episodes of it, one in particular was when patrick got a visit from his parents. I just kept laughing from start to finish. Don't know whose your favorite among the gang though. keep mylotting =)

Hello angryeve. For me, this little fella got his name by their stupidity and unpredictable character such as patrick. That stupid starfish really is an idiot.Haha.Can't even imagine how spongebob would be without him. Or patrick should be the main star in this cartoon.haha.JK.But for your information, in my country, they subbed it with malay and when it comes to patrick's part, I often laugh because they really trying to sound like patrick but in Malay. So, it sound really funny.Maybe their tone and the flat that sound like soooo blur and stupid person that's make it more funnier than spongebob.Even my lecturer also like this cartoon and make his caller ring tone with the spongebob's theme song.I can't believe even the oldies also like this fella. So maybe that is how spongebob got so famous in my country. :p

Hi rashi, wow so they translate it in your language, too? Cause they also do that here in my country and a friend of mine here in mylot who resides in Netherlands experience the same. I guess they are doing that to every country to make sure that the little kids could easily understand the show. Although I still like the original version, cause I guess I got used to it already, I must agree that it's really funny for dubbers to be able to mimic the original voices of the characters. And they are very successful of doing that. And about patrick being the star of the show... I totally AGREE! lol

i'm right with ya darl, i love this show and actually hire it for me rather than the kids even though they love it to, i find it extreamly relaxing, funny as hell aas they have alot of humorous things for adults that kids wouldnt get (ie. in one of his movies, patrick is dressed in drag! made me laugh so hard!) and plainly its just something you can do whilist trying to veg out.

Hi fezman, I think every scene of patrick is funny even if he's doing anything. lol He really is my favorite among the characters on the show. I would totally watch it if patrick gets his own show. haha And I agree there really are a lot of jokes in the show which is intended for their adult viewers alone.lol They finally figured out that most of their audience aren't kids, I guess. =)

I really love Spongebob square pants... SpongeBob is a sea sponge who lives with his pet snail gary, in a fully furnished, two bedrooms...pineapple. SpongeBob's dream in life is to be the ocean's ultimate fry cook, and thanks to his job flipping Krabby Patties at Krusty Krab, he lives that dream every day. Spongebob always looking on the bright side of life , and enthusiasm just about everything makes him downright irresistable.
