What do you usually do when you are depressed?

There are times in our lives that we feel so down and depressed.. What do you usually do to overcome your depressions? Thanks so much.. Your ideas will help as lot.. Happy mylotting..

HI rayne! It is a part of our life. Some time due to weak mental condition i feel depressed. When i feel depressed , prefere to cry alone in bathroom or toilet. After crying alone i feel so free and relax. Only crying at the time of depression can make me rid of depression. So it is best medicine for me at that time.I think most of the people might prefer that. I am a male but dont care about gender when i want to cry. YOu should do whatever to get relief from depression. have a nice day!!

ryne I am here to open up. I have started many discussions which are weird because i am weird. Here in mylot there is not reason to hide anything Beacuse here i found true friend in between there is nothing hidden. So it was my duty while respondig any discussion not only your discussion, i must be true. So it was just a duty towards my friend. have a nice day!!

i often start to pray and then think how someone else got it worst then i do. and think of my wife, kids, grandkids and other people that iv'e been bless with

..looking at our loved ones really counts when we are depressed.. There are times when I feel like giving up already but when I think of my loved ones, I feel motivated again and do my best to continue with my life despite of the challenges.. After all, this is the reality of life.. And I know I can't do anything about it.. Thank you again..

I log onto myLot, check my earnings stats and have an endless laughter attack towards the idea of how I'll never make the enough money around here and mostly of all, about how my effort isn't being matched accordingly :( Well, that just made it worse now, didn't it. Bleh.

I have been depressed and perhaps I still suffer slightly with it. However, during those very darkest days when I remember being at my lowest ebb I would try and pick myself up by doing something that I enjoyed. I love cycling and so, I used to get out there regularly on the bike and I then noticed an instant improvement in my mood. I enjoyed the fresh air and the sunshine and it really made a very bad day change into a wonderful day! Of course, cycling is not for everyone so there are other ways that you can help yourself. I also love reading and I read purely for escapism! When I read a good book, this takes me away from reality for a short while and it's great! I'm also a bit of a telly addict! I love watching my favourite movies at the weekend. Anyway, there's lots that you can do it's just a matter of making a firm decision in your mind that you want to improve your mood. Good luck. ..That's a very good thing to do.. We have similarities.. I also like reading books when I'm depressed.. And it becomes already my hobby.. But I don't feel like going out when I'm depressed.. I prefer to stay at home, cry, and sleep.. Thank you for your sharing..

i always go to library or bookstore,it is a good way to release my tension.or i am in a daze and doing nothing at all.

There are times when I am depressed that I just want to go back to bed and watch TV until I can think straight then there are times when I will go out and visit someone who will make me laugh, I think it depends what I am depressed about and if I need to share it then think about other things or not...something I can't share so I just retreat.

If it is warm enough, I go swimming. I live near a lake and swimming always makes me feel good. It is good exercise and it always brings me peace to go to the lake and splash around. It is a nice thing to be able to do when I am feeling down.

im not really that religious type of a guy but whenever i feel depressed, i stay inside the church to think and pray. i kneel whenever i pray and talk a little loud so as to release every single negative emotions inside me. after then, i'll sit down and try reminisce happy thoughts. i've been doing these since i was in college and believe me raynejasper it makes me feel so enlightened and renewed whenever i walk out of the church. happy mylotting
