I love Hillsong and i got to wondering how they became so widely known. For a worship group it seems like they've very popular.

By their songs... I don't think the sermons got famous... their worship team is totally responsible...

I actually have to say it's a shame that they did, Darlene Zschech was a fabulous praise leader whose song "Shout To The Lord" became so widly acclaimed it shone a light on Hillsong in recent times, that sadly has not really been complimented by the tosh put out by Reubeun Morgan, which fails to define worship, and barely rendons recognition as praise... It's a shame, considering their name-and-claim-it message is so popular, want the truth in scripture by people who actually practice it - rather than some of the hypocrasy I've seen come from that "Pop Concert Excuse For A Church" then take a visit to Times Square New York (David Wilkerson); Leonard Ravenhill; John Pipper; Mars Hill Seattle (Mark Driscoll) and I could name many others who live what they say, including Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Martin Smith (of Delirious), Kathryn Scott, Brenton Brown, Brian Doerkson and others from the Vineyard... even the IHOPer's in KC practice more biblical truth than Brian Houston's Hillsong can ever claim to... and just a word of advice, NEVER EVER VISIT Hillsong London, if you LEARN anything from them then I'd check it against scripture.
