http://www.criminalgovernment.com/docs/lk/conclu.html I discovered this website while searching for 'communist manifesto'. It is devoted to ham radio operators and the goverenments obstruction of their rights. There is much good info here that can be understood to defend the conservative stance of limited government is better government. Do you think that the American Government is out of control of the people's hands. Do you believe that the government is now our master rather than our servant?

Hi debra, what a shame but the site you refer to now appears to have been removed so is unreadable, pity you didn't just put a synopisis in as controversial sites do tend to disppear. I notes though that you were searching for the communist manifesto, there is a new interest here on mylot which is intended to show the truth about living under communism, rather than just the ideology of it. Maybe you'd be interested in my 'Bread and Marmalade' discussion which shows just what happens when the people have no say at all in how they are controlled by policies.

Well I didn't actually neglect to put any links in, it's more a case of I'm a total techniphobe and don't know how to. Now before you decide to take pity on me there and send helpful tips it has been done by many but technology just bores me. However there seems to be a useful guide from alice sitting in my pms which I might attempt. Any discussions are easily located in my started list.

I had to come out for a moment there to re read your last bit. Now it was actually a remark by young parated which really made me think that we should spread the word about the reality of living under communism. He put a remark on Wmrauls picture of a Romanian prison which read something like 'this is what happens when the people choose communism'. I wanted to make people understand that the people don't generally choose it, the politically savvy use it, as other countries use religion, to control the people totally through a system of constant fear. There are actually quite startling parallels between the way that fascism and communism are implemented and unless one listened to the ideolgoies behind them one could see them pretty much as one and the same system almost. So my own opinion re America is that it is neither a fascist state or a communist state, but certainly if it was to experience several more September the 11ths then it could become a fascist state. I don't see enough there to read that into the actual agenda yet and don't really believe it will happen. I don't know if you ever read the Irving Wallace novel 'The R Document' but it certainly was a future looking read into how America could be manipulated by those behind the president to indeed turn it into a fascist state.

You really do have something against links in discussions, don't you. So much so, that you neglected to put one in TO your discussion. lol I will keep your discussion in mind....if I stumble upon it, I will respond. I have read some of the works of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn so I am somewhat familiar with how communism REALLY works. I get the feeling that you think we Americans are over reacting to the 'threat' we are facing. Just a thought. What ARE your thoughts on this?

It isn't the master yet, but it is trying very hard to be. The government is playing a very dangerous game, and just as the King of England discovered in 1776, such games can come back to bite you in a most demoralizing fashion.

There are some. It was a few people that took the risks... many other were Tories. The situation today is much the same... We are split about 50/50... with the conservatives on one side and the socialists on the other. The socialists are losing popularity very fast as evidenced by Comrade 0bama's dropping opinion poll numbers. Consider the fact that enough weaponry to outfit 2 large armies has been purchased by the citizenry since the inauguration, and that tells me that there are many Americans who will stand and fight if it comes to that.

I was listening to talk radio a while back while I waited for my internet to be connected here at the new place I moved to. Subject was the citizen militia movement. I heard some interesting facts and opinions. Forget who the host was, it was a Christian station, not mainstream. I do agree, people ARE VERY fed up with all the change and knowing the folks that live here like I do...I just may be in the thick of it.

Do the American people have what it takes to do what the founding fathers did. They gave up everything that was comfort to them, and risked loosing everything permanently, if they lost.

I think we are seeing a re-awakening of the power of We the People.

Another webpage connected to that one is a great study on '1984' by Orwell. It is full of thoughts and ideas from the author and the webpage author. Here is the header on one page that discusses the book: He was a lonely ghost uttering a truth that nobody would ever hear. But so long as he uttered it, in some obscure way the continuity was not broken. ORWELL SAW GOD IN MAN It was not by making yourself heard but by staying sane that you carried on the human heritage. ~ 1984 http://www.loveforlife.com.au/node/949

I'm hoping this re-awakening is true with all free nations, not just the US
