Hello everyone!
It's been a long time since the last time I am really active here. And now after almost six months of resting from posting here I am back. And to start with I already started one discussion about sauces the other day. And what I did tonight was to choose the best response on all my previous discussion. and now I am down to one unresolved discussions. 
I don't really choose the best response immediately, I let one month pass before I choose the best, in this way I let other members express their opinions on my given topic. but since I became so busy with other things, some discussions have remained unresolved for 7 months. 
How about you, was there a time that some of your discussion became unresolved for a long time, say 2 months or more? How many unresolved discussion have you got now?
Technically, after I post this discussion, this would be the second unresolved for this month

Hi red_amethyst,
I have four more unresolved discussions left. I didn't have much because I didn't started a discussion often. Two of the discussion stared only last week and I don't think I want to resolve it yet.
But the other two should been resolve by now. The only problem is both of it have only one response and I didn't satisfy with their response. And its have been there for 2 months already. I don't know when I can resolve it.

I think I have to take a look at your discussion and see if I can give a satisfying response then maybe you can select me as your best response. hahaa. just joking.
anyway, you are right, it would be hard to resolve a discussion, when only a few people responded to your topic. Why not, send the link to your friends, so they would notice your discussion, and give their own response.

Welcome back
Well since I am fairly new to mylot i don't have a lot of discussions I have a few that are unresolved I have learned that their is no reason to rush this, can't say how long one should wait but I will do this at my leisure, can't remember how many I have but I did give out a few to those that I felt deserved it so now I will wait a little while longer and see what happens, I have 1 discussions with only a few responses not sure I gave a best response for that one hmmmm, maybe I need to take a look lol

hello stephcjh,
sometimes, selecting the best response would also consume a lot of time. like in my case, I have to read the responses over again, to be able to select the best response. and with seven pages of unresolved discussions, that is so plenty. maybe try to resolve at least one page a day.

I haven't been posting a lot of discussions lately so i only have like 11 unresolved discussions this morning... and since there was not that many discussions to responded to... i resolved 7... so now i only have 4 unresolved discussions... and i think i will try to finish all before i log off from mylot...

I am really bad about not resolving discussions but I think that you have a great idea with your method of resolving discussions. It seems like it'd be much easier to manage and keep up with!
I think I've got atleast 10 pages of unresolved discussions but maybe more.

Hello SomeCowgirl,
Wow! That is really a lot of unresolved discussions. So, you do start plenty of topics here. Maybe if you can spend time choosing the best response, like 2 -4 topics a day, it would help reduce your number of unresolved discussions. Sometimes it's good to resolve a discussion, because the person you select as the best response would feel good and realize that what he / she posted was useful or informative.

I agree it's great to give responders the extra boost of realizing their responses was the best one! I know I need to allot some time each day. Right now I am working on clearing out my inbox, and if I have time today I'll try to give best responses to atleast 2-4 of my discussions, maybe more since it's been awhile, and then regulate where it's 2-4 per day! loL!

So far, I have a lot of unresolved discussions that still clogged in that page or tab. There are at least 5 pages. I already resolved about 5 pages recently. Sorry to those who responded to my discussions but I still taking some more time to think about it and selecting the best. Good for you that you have only one remaining.

wow, 5 pages more for you to do a selection of the best response. It's nice that you are spending time in choosing the BR, I'm sure the people who respond to your discussions would understand that sometimes, you don't get to choose the BR immediately. take care

Hi red_amethyst! Welcome back! There are times that I also have unresponded discussions but after a month or two, a friend would respond or someone will invite me to be his/her new friend. Just wait my friend and we are here to respond to you. Again, welcome back!

hello lilybug, you really got of discussions don't you. I guess, with the number of posts you have. but what you did was great. choosing the best response in 10 or 12 discussions a day would really help lowering the count of your unresolved discussion.

Welcome back again!! hehe ^_^ YEah, u have been missing from mylot for so so so long.. haha =D And when u are finally back, i'm surprised to u awarding me the pencil instead.. lol =D THanks for those though!! hehe
Well regarding to my unresolved discussions, i think i have got about 6-8 of them, and i think one of them is about 1 year ago?? lol =D Seems like i have to give out my pencils soon, before i forget about them again.. lol =D

very good for you red, but i guess you were out of mylot for awhile, am i right? i also have problems with my unresolved discussions, specially if the discussion has only one responder har har har, or if the discussion was about asking in general. there is this discussion were i was requesting mylot members to vote for my brother and of course those who responded on that discussion voted for him. so it was really hard to choose a best response but i gave them all positive ratings instead.

yup, been out of mylot for a while. I guess, it's been six or seven months since I last posted here, though sometimes, I just visit this but not post at all . Giving positive ratings would also help. It helps make that start change color and the number inside it. I guess, with that discussion, It would be really hard to choose a BR.

Hi Ms Red - you're in MC too right? I've seen you around there quite a lot, actually. I haven't been active here the past month or so because I've been busy with other stuff. Then I found MC - which is actually a more casual atmosphere, I think. Anyway, I typically give out BR when I feel like it. And like you - I let the discussions sit for a while until I've read them all and responded to them all. I don't start many discussions - so I don't have much to resolve really. yes I am from MC also. I am active there and got several payout already. I also like it's layout since it is very much of a forum. Anyway, I don't plan to start plenty of discussion this time. I plan to more focused to giving out response. so hopefully, like you, I won't have many discussion to resolve.

Hi Red_amethyst, It's me Greeneagle24, I just change a new account because the old one got suspended-then deleted account. for almost two one and half months I've been doing little activity on choosing the right BR in each of my discussion. to be honest, a lot of...things had changed..Didn't expect it to happen but, all i can is that it isn't the same anymore

You know, I never really paid attention to that tab, so I never knew what "unresolved discussions" were or how to resolve them. To be honest, I guess I thought it was related to site issues or something, like when you contact the site about problems you are experiencing it would go in that tab until they responded to you. I guess I was WAY off on that one - lol!
I have only chosen a "best response" on one of my discussions, so most of them are "unresolved". I think that waiting for a while and giving people time to respond is a good idea. Some people don't see discussions right away, and they might have a lot more to add to the discussion than immediate responders that only write one sentence answers. Unless that one sentence is extremely prolific and insightful, then I don't think it deserves a "best response" mark.

The unresolved discussion refers to discussion that you haven't selected the best response yet. Once you select the best response, it will be resolved discussion already.
