Hello suzieque!(",) Indeed, tooth decay can lead to different heart diseases that is why I brush my teeth 3 times a day. I think my meal is not complete without brushing my teeth. When I do forget sometimes, I can't sleep that is why I have to wake up in the middle of the night and brush my teeth. Hope that everyone will brush their teeth to make it healthy and fresh and with no teeth decay!(",) Great day to you!

I brush my teeth three times a day and rinse with mouthwash. I agree in everything you said because my dentist warned me about some worse diseases that started with gum disease too. Gingivitis is the most common type of gum disease, a bleeding gum is the first symptom so if your gum bleeds consult your dentist immediately.

YES. Yes. I brush my teeth twice a day, is that enough? But to bad when I was a child, I was to lazy to do it. Sob, sob. Now I'm taking the consequences. So kids always remember to brush your teeth everyday.

Yup. I brush my teeth after every meal or that's thrice a day. But if I eat midnight snacks I end up brushing four times a day. My mouth feels wierd if I don't brush my teeth before I sleep. It just feels eeky.. LOL!

A person should brush every day and at least twice a day is even better for your teeth and gums. You do not need to brush four or five times a day as some people have multiple meals or snacks. Not only should a person brush every day but they should also use mouthwash, like Listerine, to help kill germs. Flossing is also very important or using Stimudents is good too. Those three things will help to having healthier teeth and gums. My dentist reminds me of these things so I thought I would pass that on.

While on the topic of dental hygiene, you should go all the way and really get after us. My dentists have always pushed flossing. Brushing does not always get between the teeth, and that is where lots of problems starts. However, I floss off and on and have never made it a habit. One dentist told me, "Only floss the ones you want to keep."
