While on the Alaskan Cruse I was taking sunset pictures trying to get that great shot. When I got home and was reviewing my photos I was amazed by this one. I was able to get the near hills as a silioute and the somehow the back hills were brightened.

That's an awesome shot you took. I'll always be fascinated with sunrise and sunset. Will never, ever get tired of it..

Every one is different and a challenge to capture in a photo.

the beauty of sunset shots is you can shoot the same place night after night and get different pictures each time.

That is a lovely photo, I haven't ventured into night time shots as yet, I hope I can take good shots like that one day.

Sunsets can be fairly easy even with a point and shoot camera. Here is an article that I published on Hub Pages that offers suggestions on how to take sun set photos. http://hubpages.com/_1ydkgrbkkj5s3/hub/Photographing-Sunsets-with-a-Point-and-Shoot-Camera?e-emailhub

Heh, not bad at all Bob. I like this photo. Usually sunset photos can yield interesting results due to lighting, shadow and environment. The photo itself reminds me of a chalk pastel work I did a long time ago.
