I adore older films too. I have a lot of Hitchcock DVDs and I love watching Marilyn Monroe on screen. She's hypnotic. The language and accents are wonderful, especially in witty films like "All About Eve".

Hollywood was really a golden age back then. I love reading the biographies of the starlets. Ann Miller's is really interesting and I'm about to start on Esther Williams'.

I totally agree. The old ones are the best and all the ones you named are classics. Of the Hitchcock collection, Rebecca is one of my favourites. In fact I'd like to see other movies based on Daphne Du Maurier novels.

I love classics! Gone with the wind and the likes. Those movies, regardless of how the cinematography is, are part of history. The story-line, above all things, are highlighted.
