does drinking coffee make you hyper?

I have this habit, when I felt drowsy at work, I would like to grab a cup of coffee from starbucks on my way home. I won't like the coffee from work, because the coffee there simply nasty, and I just couldn't drink it. I normally order a venti size Ice Caramel Machiato. After I drank the whole cup, I felt so energized, and hyper. I won't be able to fall in sleep for the next 8 hours at least. I felt like my heart beat race up sometimes too. It is more like a wake - up pill for me now, and maybe I should slow down on starbucks coffee. What about you? would a cup of starbucks coffee make you hyper?

I have no starbucks anywhere near, the most similar "things" are available here are KFC and McDonalds. However, I don't drink coffee at all, allready maybe 20+ years since. I drink instant cofee only. And yes, it help me when I'm

what kind of place you are living at? No Starbucks? I thought starbucks reached up eveerywhere.

Oh .. there are 4 starbucks shops in my country, according to them website. 3 of them in Bucharest, capital city (where I also live), but all 3 are not downtown, but rather on suburbs .. To far from the place I am ..

No, unfortunetly :( I love drinking a good cup of coffee but I don't get as hyper as I'd like to get or most people claim to get, I always wonder why...but well, I do get more awake, in the least.

I drink coffee every morning, but I do not feel hyper. Probably because of habit.

Maybe it is a truth. But I felt so hyper after drank that Ice Caramel Machiato, and I just tried to keep myself awake, instead of drowsy all day long. Plus, I have tons of work at home needed me to be done.
