Why do these Christians keep believing that the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus? That's just one particular fictional character for that religion. Every other religion has some other idea that they will go to heaven and everyone else who doesnt follow them will go to hell. What makes every religion believe only theirs is right while all others are wrong? Its just a mere accident at birth that you were this religion. Which belief could be right and which is wrong? I dont get how people could continue to believe in this while all the others religions are against them.

Religoin is a very complex thing in a person's life whcich is as important as the daily routine. To remember God is must for every religion,if not by force then u do it to get peace. But all the religions have the same teachings of goodness and truth, non teaches us to be a bad person. But we humans have divided these teachings into religion and every human have a tendency so say their belongings, the best.

First, I'd ike to say that not all religions claim that everyone who doesn't follow them will go to hell/not get into paradise etc. There are plenty of religions that on't make claims like that, it's just a popular idea with some of the big religions like christianity. Why is it such a popular claim for religions to make? I'd say because it's a useful way to ensure people remain in the religion and follow its rules. If you can convince someone there will be terrible consequences if they don't do/beleive what you tell them, they'll be very easy to controll and you gain a lot of power over them. Once someone beleives in something like that, they are not going to change their mind easily because of the fear of consequences involved. I used to be christian when i was a kid, and i remember thinking about this question. I remember thinking 'christianity must be right- i mean just about everyone i know thinks this stuff and millions of people around the world and all.' and i remember thinking 'what about all those other religions though? My teachers say that if you don't accept jesus you go to hell. But I beleive god is very loving and wouldn't allow a horrible place like hell to exist, and definitely wouldn't let good people go there just because they were taught a different religion.' I think probably a lot of people have thought similar things.

You seem to be confusing religion with race. People can choose their religion. Religion isn't just "a mere accident at birth". A person's parents' religion usually does have a strong influence on what they believe, but they do have free will and are capable of renouncing their parents' religion. And uh, if I remember correctly, not all religions believe everyone else will go to hell. Some just tell you to be good and play nice to get to heaven. If you want to know which is right and which are wrong, just wait until you die. You're bound to find out then. XD And as to why people believe in them... Religion tells people that they matter. The alternative is believing that nothing you do has any importance in the end, since the same nothingness awaits everyone after they die.
