So, which do you prefer? Would you rather eat out or bring to office packed lunch from home. And why do you prefer it?

I always used to buy my dinner at work. I work nights so it was just easier. But now that I am on a protien diet I have been buying just a protien bar & a bottle of water to at work & that will do me till I get home & go to sleep. I can't take a packed lunch because I ride my pushbike to work & there is no way for me to carry it.

Pushbike? Pardon my ignorance but is it just like a bicycle? If it is, then you save a lot on gasoline. Here in our country gasoline is so expensive. Riding a bike to work is good alternative to save on gas but it is not safe since we don't have bike lanes here.

Same here, I also love home cooked food but I'd like to enjoy eating out once in a while.

Hello aprilten, I given a choice, I would rather bring packed lunch in the office. Aside from the fact that I can save some money if I do that, it also saves time from my lunch break. I can just do other things than waiting in line in restaurants just to eat my lunch. I used to bring a packed lunch in my previous work, but right now at my current work, I don't need to bring anything, because we have one free meal. We just have a caterer that brings a packed lunch for us. Some times, the food is good and delicious some times it's not. So if it is not so good, we would just buy something like dessert.

Having one free meal is really great. Thanks for joining in this discussion. By the way, the title of this thread should have been 'Eat out or have packed lunch from home?' I only noticed just now that I omitted the word 'home'.
