We in our every day life cook or prepare extra food , more than we can have for the day. Some use it keeping them in the refridgerator & some give it as alms to beggars. Some even like the taste of the left over food. I dont mind having the left over food the next day as long as it tastes good. What about you?

Hi Krupesh I love leftovers I sometimes make my leftovers into soup or sometimes cut up any leftover meat and put it in a salad, if I have meatloaf we can make sandwhiches a lot of times my husband and son will take the leftovers to work for lunch it saves money thats for sure! And it tastes good too leftovers always seem to taste better the next day because all he spices have had a chance to marinade overnight

Yeah I agree.. A sauce as it's own marinade. That's nice. Have you tried ADOBO? Since it has vinegar in it's recipe. It takes a lot of time for it to get spoiled. So if you accidentaly left it outside your frige. It will be fine the next day. I love FOOD. hehehe

Is the corned beef your talking about are those without preservatives? Freshly made? If so I would also make them as an omelet the next day. It taste much better w/o preservatives. For other foods like (MENUDO, KALDERETA) will all be more tasty after it was reheated rather than newly cook. Hehehe I think the sauce acts as a marinade. So if you let it sit for the day and reheat it.. the meat will all be more tasty. Hehehe

Hello, I am not much for left overs. If I have some then I will have it in another time during the week. The left overs from restaurants I use them for my b/f's lunches. He says I have the best taste in ordering food. But the left overs from my favorite Mexican restaurant I keep it for another meal for the rest of the family during the week.

I recycle it if its not yet stale. For examples I eat roasted chicken and their are many few left. I deboned it and make a chicken sandwich which the whole family could enjoy. In every parties their are many leftover and if the party owner permit bringing leftover. I bring some food , sometimes the owner of the parties are the one who gives leftover food in order not to waste it..

Well if there's enough extra food, we usually keep it and eat it the next day or for snacks. And other times we feed it to our dog, who likes to eat human food a lot. Other times when we're eating out and we have extra food, we give them to poor people since they need the food more than we do and it's best not to waste food.

'Human food' That conjurs up the thought of a meal made of meat from humans! Gosh! Do you have to go to a special butcher to find the right 'parts' for a recipe?

my family eat rice with some other dishes to accompany the rice. we usually heat up the leftover and have it for the next meal (dinner/lunch depends on the time of cooking). sometimes i just eat the leftover without rice. sometimes i eat them with bread (stir fry veggie sandwich or bread dipped in curry or soup). if we have leftover rice i make fried rice with it. when i was a kid i used to feed stray cats with leftover and was scolded so i never tried that again :P

We never have leftovers. people here have huge appetites, so food might last 2-3 days. Well with thanksgiving leftovers usually we just carve up the turkey to save space and use the skeleton to make a broth then just make sandwiches and stuff with the meat.

I don't mind eating left overs.. we usually cook a lot of food, so that cooking can be done only once. hehehe.. we keep the left overs in tupperwares in our ref.. so when you look inside the ref we have a lot of stacks in there. hehehe. though there are some types of foods that are really not meant to be kept in the ref and reheated,.. it just won't taste the same, so for those kinds, we often just eat everything, cause we don't want to throw away food if it doesn't taste good the next day.

Liz has an incredible knack for making the best left-over casseroles with a bit of rice or pasta, with broth from the freezer or a canned soup, whatever spices are available at the time and, of course, its never the same twice because what left-overs happen to be at the time..so we have variety even in our leftovers. ENJOY!

I usually refrigerate left over food for the following days to come. It is a waste of money if you throw it away. I guess that if it is still good and does not taste bad and it can still be eaten well it is alright to refrigerate. I really like your idea on refrigerating the food and some are give to beggar as alms. It is so nice and sweet of you to do that. I think many people nowadays have nothing to eat. It is very wasteful if we throw the food away. We should learn to share in the aspect of being human. lolz.

I will not waste the food just like that. I used to waste the food Whenever it is not really possible to do with that food. If something left over i will keep out for birds and animals. Some foods (particularly Fish curry) will taste more only on second day. I used to have that food

Hi Krupesh, This is what I do in my daily life, I worked in another city by myself and only take the meal by myself and no pets with me as well. I will prepare the dinner at one time and then take it to the oven of my office and then become the lunch of another day. Day by day, month by month, no left over food, but I know it is not good for health for the long time habit like me, but it is better to order the fast food outstide afterall.

I eat it of course!!!LOL…being a working mother, I cant really cook elaborate meals every single day so I tweak the menu a little regularly. We are Bengalis so fish curry and rice is our staple…along with the rice, we must have daal. So what I do is cook the daal in pressure cooker, enough for two days and same thing for the fish curry. So in essence, I cook enough daal and fish curry to last us two days (nights, really since none of us are at home for lunch)…I only change the side menu regularly, cant really have the same veg curry for two days. so leftovers are never any problem at my house…we don’t treat them as leftovers. And you know what??? Apart from the time, this process saves a lot of cooking gas for me.

Hi krupesh! I don't mind also, but only several food that i think it's too good to be waste, so i keep it, but sometimes i give it to cat near my house there's no beggar around my house, so i give it to cat, but i like to cook enough portion for myself so there is no food left when i eat, that's more convenient for me, so i don't have to keep unfinish eaten food

I do keep leftover food for the next day if I know that it won't turn bad. Certain food can still be eaten after keeping it for one day but it wouldn't taste as good as when you just bought it. But there are also certain food that will taste just as good if you heat them up in the microwave oven the next day.

hi krupesh, we have so many left over foods on our house, and we can't really balance the exact meal to be cook and to be eaten, and same also on my brothers and sisters we don't eat left over foods, or we shall say foods that are not newly cooked, call us crazy or something but we don't really eat them, and what we do is just give them to our pet, to our dogs exactly.. in that case they will be full because of the foods.. janebeth.
