Have you ever used one of those robotic toilets? Like something out of Dr Who!

These toilets have been around quite a while now and they seem to be popping up everywhere. I have used them a couple of times myself and it's really quite weird how you insert your money and then the door automatically opens and then you enter and do your thing at your own peril!
. I sometimes thing, what if someone inserts their own change and the door suddenly opens? What can possibly go wrong with this thing? Anyway, I have never been in one since! They are strange and they really do look like something out of Dr Who!!! What do you think about these space age loos? Andrew

I have never used one my friend, I am always worried that I will get locked in or the time will run out and the doors automatically open revealing me in all my glory on the throne LOL! Not a pretty site. Unless I am not very observant which is probably the case but I haven't seen that many around, I usually use the ones at the leisure centre or in the library gardens and thankfully they are not robotic. Talking about Dr Who I wonder if they have Davros giving out instructions when you enter LOL! Or you get turned into a cyberman, yikes, another reason NOT to use them and they are not cheap either are they? Price of spending a penny has gone up in inflation now!

Hi wolfie, yes they are really funny things to look at and they have been around for quite a while now too! I dread to think what the future will bring in terms of street toilets! I even remember those urinals that were supposed to pop up out of the ground, I don't know if you remember those but they were quite funny. They were supposed to stop the drunks from releasing their load in the streets! I don't think that they took off though as I don't see them anywhere. Oh well. Andrew

No my friend. I think this could never be happen because I know the inventor of this technology had already an anticipation of lots of consequences might be happen. Well it would be so funny when this incident happen. I couldn't hardly imagine myself at middle of my concentration at the top my "throne" when suddenly somebody open wide the door where I seated..he he heh what would I do maybe, would just to cover my face....

That is definitely a weird situation to be in! Anyway, I don't bother using them anymore, there's no point, I make sure I do my think always before I leave home. They are just a real eyesore too I think! Andrew
