How did you first become aware of 9/11? What were you doing? Who were you with? I was working in a high school at the time, and one of the other teachers came over to tell us about it. We immediately turned on the TV to watch. We were located only about 5 miles from the pentagon so we could hear the sirens outside. It was so frightening.

I was at home on the computer reading forums. And, I think someone posted it on the board I was on. It was right before I had to go to work, so we spent most of the work day listening to the news on someone's radio.

It will be something like the Kennedy assaination where you will always remembe wher you wre when you heard about it. It i something that you will never forget that is for sure. I just think that people will be talking about it for years.

It was really something. The coverage did go on for too long, but it was an event that really needed to be covered. I jus think thre are many things that are really good, and are some things that are just overkill on the part of the news media. 9/11 was a terrible tragic event however.

I was at work and someone called someone at works cell phone, so we pulled out a TV someone had in her cabinet to listen to soaps and we turned it on. My former roommate wanted me to come home, but the office decided we didn't need to - I mean, we're in TEXAS! She got mad at them for not letting us come home, mad at me for not coming home and mad at the roommate that she went to work and was only concerned that her check might be late. so, where was I - at the office - and who were I with - my co-workers

Yes, it did seem like the news spread very fast that day. I found out about it probably about 10 or 15 minutes after the attack on the twin towers.

I was on a date with my boyfriend who is now my husband, when we first heard of it. We really prayed for those who were killed. I am from the Philippines, I have relatives in New York, but none of them were among the victims. We were only 4 days old as lovers when that happened. It is memorable for us because that happened to be our first official date after we became lovers.

I got married to my previous husband shortly after 9/11. Maybe that should have been some kind of warning. 9/11 was really a terrible and very tragic day.
