When it rains, does your area get flooded?

In my place , it easily get flooded. I just wonder if there are any country or even just city that does not experience flooding during storms or just after some rains. Cause in my area it does not have to have storm to have flood in my city. it easily get submerged in water after it rains for a while cause of the garbage that has been collected in the drainage.
Does your city don't get flooded easily or doe not experience flood at all even during strong storms.

Actually our apartment sits up on a little higher ground than what is around us so it has to rain A LOT to actually get up by us. We do have a ditch that runs along side our apartment and it floods pretty much every time it rains.

that is good that your place quite than your surrounding place. and so at least you are safe whenever there is flooding

I live in a higher area of eastern part of England so even it rains or storms my flat is still in safe. However last week I visited London and I passed an area that was flooded by a heavy rain. Luckily it was not so serious.
When I was a child and my family lived in a small house that located in a lower area.Every time of a little heavier rain the house was flooded so we had to make the water out and move furniture. Really unhappy experiences.

when i was small too there was one time the water get inside my house. though my house is quite high elevated from the level outside of our house. so it was really high flood. cause i get out the how it will be on waist high of my height now as an adult . so only once that it happened that it get inside my home.
though my house don't get flooded inside but still i can't get out of the house to go somewhere like to go to groceries cause it is not safe to walk through the water cause the flood water here are very dirty with garbage floating on the water and the black soil coming from the drainage because of the flood.

my place/city is at a very high position so there is very less chance of flood hitting us , a year ago , there was a flood in my state where all other cities very seriously flooded. people came running to our place for shelter and food, we prayed to God that the water would not reach us anyway.
there were diseases and destruction every where and our state asked aid from the central and other state governments also.

but i wonder if there are any lowlands who does not get affected by flood. actually my city though can be considered a low land does not get flooded because being a low land. our city is far from oceans and mountains, though there are rivers that overflow it does not affect so much people. it only floods a certain or limited place. the water rise but not too high to get to the land. the flood here is caused by the garbage that block the drainage of the canals. and so when the water don't subside easily. every flooding , the local government has to clean the rivers and the drainage of garbage that has been stuck there because people throw garbage in rivers and anywhere. only when the garbage were taken out that the water subsides.

oh you are so lucky to be in such a highland. i wish that i can transfer into such a place. so i can live in better condition that we are in now. it is such nice to live in a very good environment.

Where I liev there are a few rivers that flood durring the spring, when the thick ice that covers them melts. It isn't usualy too bad, most people don't live right on these rivers or at least not too close to them. There are some roads that flood over and become impassable in areas. It happens pretty much every year about the same time of year and we just deal with it and go about our business as usual.

yeah it is near river or seas for sure that it can easily get flooded. i can see so many news of flooding in US too . just like we have here in my country. i yet have to find a country that don't experience flooding or at least flooding that cause big problems like we usually do.
