KIDS/TEENS posting Nude pictures on the internet

KIDS these days..have gone mad about internet. I didn't mean KIDS literally but these young teens who still act like a child. Social Networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Friendster they love posting half naked pictures, cleavage dress, and nude. We tried to go to an internet cafe nearby to play LAN games then we saw this group of teens uploading their sexy pictures on the net. How do you react on this? We find it really non sense and I won't wonder if I heard news about getting abused by someone they met from the internet. *sighs*

they have the right to do what they want, why you try to restrict them even some behaviors are obviously unacceptable, but but.. as you said they seems child, that indicates they are not mature, they are growing up... so just let them doing, and after several years after they grown up, they will find how ridicurous they were... not bad, huh?

They don't have "the right to do whatever they want." I'm 16 and even I know that! Saying that teens/kids have the right to do what they want, well, let's just say all hell would break loose.

Hey hey now, don't group me with all these other Americans. Yes, humans have certain rights, but kids have no right to do this kinda stuff. Anyway, my generation isn't that...smart. They know what's right and wrong yet choose to do wrong. They're ignorant, and don't deserve to have that "right." (And, I CAN speak for these teens because I am a teen. Thankfully I'm a little smarter and didn't get into that kinda BS)

Hey hey, Isn't you western people always advocating HUMAN RIGHTS? and always looking for freedom? If yes, I respect your believe and culture, that's why I said let them do whatever they want, but themselves should have the ability to judge what should do and what shouldn't, am I correct?

Well, I'm a teen (16) and use both Facebook and Myspace to keep in touch with old friends, family, and to learn Portuguese (meeting Brazilians and stuff). And honestly? That's all my generation has ever learned. Just take a look at the movies they watch, or the music they listen to. It's no wonder they're uploading sexy photos, showing off cleavage and stuff. They want attention, they're insecure basically. There's no logical reason to do that kinda stuff, and they know it, which is why they don't know what to say when they get confronted. How do I react? I just laugh and shake my head because I know that their ignorance is gonna get 'em in trouble one day -- so they'll learn. It's not my place to correct some one else, unless it's a friend or a relative, or if the person asks.

I know there still a lot who think and act like you do. And it's good to hear you know how to control and handle certain issues that can make you realize when things go wrong. Whenever I see teens do something like these, we just smile and say "yeah, kids". Let's just say it can be their stage to being mature when they realized what they have done was totally wrong. But honestly, there are times that these kids are getting annoying seeing them do their stuffs.

Yea, agreed. Another thing I'd like to point out is that most teens are going against soooo many guidelines that Myspace/Facebook/etc have put up. They are trying to keep photos like that from being seen in the first place, yet teens wanna keep doing it. Go figure!

I think that this is a bad idea in general. There are so many creepy people on the web that it would never be safe to post anything personal, and you naked or semi-naked is definitely very personal. All sorts of people will stalk you and try to meet up with you and it will not turn out well. I can't believe anyone does it and I hope that kids start getting the idea soon, or else it will turn out all the worse for them.

It's bound to happen, the internet is a relatively new technology and most people don't understand the responsibility that comes with using it. Sure we can use it to share photo's with friends and families but it is never a secure connection, there is always the chance that someone can get in. But it is absolutely terrible that teens are posting naked pictures of themselves, they aren't of age to even have that option but they think it's okay to send to a boyfriend or girlfriend. If you are interested in that kind of drama, check out stickam, because there are so many fights over 'n00dz' on there.

I agree - some of them even wind up on my list on social networking sites. I think we all get to see such things at one point or another. They're immature...I'll start with that. They don't understand the consequences because these days so many people are using the net. They can be vulnerable to abusers and not only that, but, I think you could also jeopardize your future employment opportunities. I've heard of many stories about people losing their jobs over photos. In the US there were some school teachers who lost out on their jobs because provocative photos of them were found on the web.

They have this reasons to post their private photos in public. Reasons that they haven't thought about if they can handle the output before doing such an act. It's a shame to loose your job over photos.

Teens today seem to like the attention they get by posting half naked pictures on the internet but they don't realize how dangerous it can really be. I have family members who do that and they have said they like the attention they get from guys. I think they are disrespecting themselves by stooping that low to get attention.
