Friend firstly let me tell you every specialization has its own value in some or the other way. As according me i suggest you to opt for finance as this is the field will never lose its grip from the market as it is the main factor that contributes to the economy and economy is stable because there is equal diversification is funds. In all the other specializations you need to have some kind of skill that is needed for you to grow. But here the main thing that is to be noticed is how well you study your company and in how well you can frame laws and that which benefit your company in the best way possible. If you be a student of finance then you will get a back end job, if not you got to roam a lot for your growth and experience. If you feel that you are the best at your accounting transactions then opt for banking as this is field which creates money in the economy. Has there is deposits in the market at the same time there will be lendings then its based on you how well you make your firm utilize the funds and earn the best profit to it. Comment with your views so that there is exchange of knowledge. All the best for your specialization.

well i think, finance is a good field but I personally think that if economy goes down so do the some of the businesses, which causes job problems in any specialization but marketing is the most vulnerable field in these situations. But it all depends i guess, because marketing, management and HR are field which need your communication skills more than any other, whereas banking and finance you need your knowledge and ability.... As you also know that too many people are doing MBA, so it also has effect on the market and job opportunities, but if one is good enough, it should not be a big problem. I personally think that Finance and banking are more safe options, but in finance there is too much competition. When i enrolled for my MBA course, I was very clear to go in finance, but now when the time has come, I am just thinking is it the correct choice?? Although I inside know that I will go for finance, but still just giving myself some time to take this decision. As for you shankar good luck for your future, and start planning now, with keeping future developments in front, because things can quickly change in 2,3 years.

If you are in the United States, I would go in the direction of the Medical field, with whatever position you are comfortable in, accounting, hr, etc, because that is the only field that has not been hit bad with this economny....problable got bigger instead.
