I've never been scammed, thank heavens. I check out every opportunity before I plunk down any money for anything on the internet. I always do a search of the company, or website, and then type 'forum' after it, or 'scam?' When you do a forum search on it, you would be surprised at what some people have to say about dealing with them. There's other places that I go to to check up on them: Scam.com is good...just type in the name of the website into the search at the top of their toolbar: http://www.scam.com/ ripoffreport.com is another good one to check places on. If you have been ripped off, this is a good place to tell your story so that others can read what happened to you. They're kind of like the 'bad business bureau', in that they report all bad businesses. When you go to the Better Business Bureau you will find that if somebody complained, and the company resolved the dispute, it is erased from their record just like it never happened, and the company can do it again, and again, and you'd never know! http://ripoffreport.com/ Domain blacklist is good too, and updated frequently: http://www.joewein.de/sw/dbl-update/2006-03-04.htm There's lots of scams out there, and places doing bad business. It's our job to do due dilligence to check them out before handing over our hard earned money.
