This Weird Weather

Philippines

Am not able to breathe again. This morning up to noon, the sun was out and it was hot. Now its raining torrents and abruptly changed the temperature. I wish that the weather will either stay hot, or stay cold. Its very bad for my asthma. I remember when I was still working during the time of Milenyo. It was sunny when I left for the office. Come noon the storm hit Manila and power was out. So was transport since Manila was unprepared at that time. I recall walking from Ortigas Center to Cubao, dodging fallen trees and power lines, plus a few pools of water. Good thing I was wearing rubber shoes at that time. What about you? How are you affected by this weird weather that we have in the Philippines?

I live in the southwest USA. this was supposed to be the best place for asthmatics to live, and we came here 20 years ago due to my son's ill health. But the wind always blows and the dust is awfull. Grass does not grow in the sandy soil so it blows all the time. On really bad days fully a third of the students cannot go to school because they can't breathe. What makes this a place for asthmatics!!!! I have never understood the reasoning of doctors who send their patients here.

not just there but also here in our neighborhood. my brother went to our house for a visit and all i see was just the sun and no rain. we had to almost all of our electric fans just to compensate with the heat because my nephew and niece were supposed to sleep while watching cartoons, but that didn't even worked...

Yes you said it, it was so hot this morning that we even left the airconditioning on longer and my son was all sweaty we changed him numerous times throughout the morning but now, it's raining again. This was also the case yesterday and yesterday was raining cats and dogs. I was planning on doing some laundry this afternoon but the rain is stopping me. Argh, I should have washed them in the morning... hahahaha

If the weather there is weird, just wait til you come to UK, it's more crazy and very horrible here lolz. Sunny this morning after few minutes it's cloudy and windy and soooo cold, then it starts raining, sometimes hailstorms, your laundry outside got frozen . Same thing going everyday, sometimes we have really a nice one. It makes me feel SAD and annoyed! Happy myLoting.

Hi, it's really weird because I'm praying for rain really. It's sooo hot and humid here. We didn't have rain for over a week now and I have always headache due to hot weather. I thought it was going to rain for two nights since there was lightning and some thunder but it did not. Now my plants are dying too. I have noticed when there's a storm brewing somewhere in Luzon we in southern parts of the visayas will have hot weather. I know it's bad for asthma when weather changes abruptly. My nephew is also suffering from astham due to over hot weather plus dusts and acasia leaves are falling coupled with itchy hairy worms. And it's really becoming colder in the wee hours of morning and hotter during the day so I too get some allergic rhinitis attacks. Too bad for us really.

You are so right. Its really frustrating at times, but what can we do? I think we cannot do anything about it. We just need to be prepared to protect ourselves and our loves ones for this weird weather transitions. And I think its not only in the Philippines, people all over the world are discovering how weather has turned really unpredictable in their own places too. God bless!
