i'm just wondering if water really helps to lose weight. i've been drinking lots of water this past few days because they say that water helps to flush out toxins in your body and it also makes your skin healthy. I really want to lose weight and i've been trying the "water therapy" method. What do you think?

Yes. Water helps you lose weight. Drinking one glass of water before meals can make you feel less hungry. Therefore, you'll tend to eat less due to the fact that water fills your stomach a bit. Afterwhile, water will help flush out toxins that will make you feel clean inside. They say that water helps you in losing weight and even hydrates you. Water are most people's beauty secret. The good thing is that we have a lot of water. It is the most inexpensive way to treat a lot of problems.Better load yourself with water! it's the most healthy thing to do!:)

I have also heard that adding lemon to your water is good because it helps to keep your body from retaining the water. Sometimes when you step on a scale, several pounds of your weight can be due to water retention. I love lemon water and I have noticed since I have been drinking it regularly that I do not swell as much as I used to during the day and I do feel a pound or two lighter.

Yes it does help but you also need to eat healthily too! If you normally eat unhealthily then start eating healthy along with your drinking of water you will notice a difference alot sooner than just drinking water. Hope this helps! Good luck losing weight and happy myLotting!

I agree with angelsmummy that drinking water helps along with a healty diet. Drinking water in place of sugary sodas and juices is a great, efortless way to incorporate weight loss. Also lots of water before and after exercise is vital for your health. Rachellecu, I'm concerned with the fact that your calorie intake is less than 1000 per day. That is much too low. If you eat too many calories you gain weight, but too few calories is also not wise. If your eat too few calories, your body will go into starvation mode and will hold onto the weight. You need to eat. There are free online places such as sparkpeople and the daily plate at livestrong.com which have weight loss calculators that help determine your calorie goals. A weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week is not only realistic, but your chances of keeping the weight off for good are greater then losing weight on a crash-starvation diet.

Water is the source of life. Reasonable and drinking water, can help you lose weight, increase your vitality and health promotion. However, "water can carry a boat, can also overturn it," such as drinking properly, then the counter, drink the best time is early morning and evening, and this was a time when skin most in need of moisture. Then ensure that drinking 500ml of water, the moisture absorption of the most efficient.

yes, water does help you lose weight. I think its all got to do with your metabolism, if its faster you can stay in shape more easily and lose weight, and drinking tonnes of water as well as regular exercise and a balanced diet is what makes a fast metabolism. drink the standard 8 glasses of water a day, and more if you wanna shed extra, although if you don't exercise you'll probably just pee it all out. still, water is good for you!

Yes, I do believe so. It is also wise to drink water before eating so you will feel a bit full and eat less food. Try drinking hot/warm water as well so your stomach gets heated a bit and you'll feel it sweating. By drinking hot water, you will also reduce the oily stuff in your intestines and help flush them out.

Yes i believe that hot water can help in digesting food faster. I drink tea when eating at restaurants because it really makes my stomach feel light. thanks for the info by the way. :)

In my experience, it does. As you have mentioned, it helps flush out the toxins from your body and keeps you hydrated. Besides, when I drink a lot of water, I feel like I have eaten already which is probably why as kids, we were forbidden to drink water before mealtimes. We could only drink it after our meals.

It seems a lot of water helps a lot, but perhaps with additional conditions ... (ideas) - reduced - intake of carbohydrates and saturated fats - stress level (or increased relaxation time) - increased - intake of fruits and vegetables specially lemon, garlic, ginger, cranberry - exercise something like that... Cheers

Water is also very good for your nails. You also have to reduce calories but not drasticly just maybe 400 or so and if you add a good work out to that your body will begin to build mucsle which also helps burn calories faster.
