If heave and hell are eternal, how can they exist And how can God also exist?

So, I hear that heaven and hell are eternal. One is a place of eternal joy and the other of eternal torment. What is happening there is not important to me. The point is that both the places are eternal. In other words, we (the souls who reach either place) are also eternal. In other words, without death or an end. Well, if there is no end, how can there be a begining or origin? If souls will live eternally, then they must necessarily have existed without a origin. In other words, there is no creator. If there is no creator, who is going to send us to either place? Neither place exists.

You are wrong. Did you ask for proof? Here it is: Religious book X, Chapter m, verse n: "God exists. He's eternal" Religious book Y, Chapter u, verse v: "Heaven and hell are eternal." This proves that God exists; and heaven and hell also exist. I win the debate Yours Creationist par excellence.

Lol well done you fell into the trap of quoting a religious book where half the things in it are 100's of years after the events. So no, he isnt wrong -it depends on individual views. the bible can only be quoted and used by people who believe in God. No point using it in an argument when its written by man for men. Because there is a difference between forever (all time) and forever after (from defined point on). God is forever. We are forever after. God, through creation, set the forever after in motion. ENJOY

Where did you read they (heaven and hell) are eternal? You must be reading that word of mouth bible I hear about??? According to the one I read they aren't. Why is it you consider catholic dogma to be the standard for all Christians? To answer your question on eternal, most scientist believe our own universe was created by two others coming together, surprise...that means that there was another reality before ours...hmm where did I hear that??? I think maybe in the bible....

What about things that don't have souls, are they eternal? If they are eternal, then why does science talk about the beginning of the universe? And if the universe can have a beginning, why can't a soul? Do you suppose souls are eternal because they are made by God in the image of God and He's eternal?

okey lets see this in a athesist and christian perspective the athesist believe that the big bang started life time and space but before that none of those existed yet how can the big bang start with nothing so even before the big bang something existed. From a Christian perspective God created the world so he created time space and matter before that there was only god and angels becasue time didnt exist they were enternal but when god created the world he created time so him his angels are enternal but were not. so when we die god makes our soul eternal so we dont die in a spirtual meaning

I am more of a mystic myself. I do not try to answer all questions in life. I believe some things are best left to be discovered or they are not going to be found out. I believe paradoxes and mysteries of life and the afterlife will always exist no matter how hard people try to explain them.
